Nancy Roy Addiction is a terrible affliction and brings nothing but pain and ruin to yourself and those most dear. I lost everything of value in my life because of it. Possessions can be replaced in time but to mend the severed bonds with those we hold most dear is the most difficult part of the process. My struggle continues but I take heart in the success of others who were able to break free from the shackles that once bound them. Thank you for sharing and I wish you joy and success in all that you do. Stay strong!

Justin explained the origins of this song. He was in Texas and was talking with a girl (his future wife) in Nebraska and they decided to meet up. He took a train from Texas to Kansas City and she took a bus from Nebraska to Kansas City and they meet at the Westin Crown Center in room 1852 and he walked in the room and smelled some marijuana and the Smiths and a few other songs were playing and they fell in love.

This was a song between my ex and I. And I mean someone who both hung the moon and extinguished the sun. I come back to this song every so often to remind myself of those memories, the good ones atleast, and also to remember the bad ones to see where I’ve come from mentally and as a person. It’s been years and it’s still my song to go to when I need a good healthy cry.

I was just introduced to this song a few months ago, b y a friend. I have been entranced by it since then. I usually listen to hard rock, heavy metal, speed metal, and or punk rock, but this song is amazing.

Does anyone notice that the dislike buttun has no words. so when you scroll down the like button is more noticable. This is the best song in the world.

Yeah, they are one of the few bands that really bring it live. They look every audience member in the eye that they can. You can tell they really appreciate that we're there at all!

My Husband & I just got married Tuesday June 18th and this was the song had our first dance to. Ironically we danced on a balcony while everyone watched from below. It was beautiful :) I wish Blue October would see this & know how beautiful their music is.

Was also the first song my husband and I danced to at our wedding.. October 10th, 2009. I still tear up listening to it.

I find it interesting that everyone finds so much happiness in this song. While there is lots of emotion in it, a powerful song, I hear loss of a loved one, standing on the balcony deep in thought and the wind blows as if a kiss and he is off in memories and fantasizes about being with her again someday. Holding onto her memory so very tight.

I think it could also be about a break up. that last night you spend together, aware that this is the end. you love one another but it's never gonna work out. theres no other way, you can't believe it, this person is like no one you've ever known. you don't wanna let go...painfully beautiful. I’ve never heard this song before and now I can’t stop crying! So beautiful haha

Foiled was one of my favourite Albums as a kid. At one point I noticed it was gone. Years later I found it in my Uncle's truck, I wanted to be mad but I wasn't, I got to share this Album with someone else and he had clearly carried it with him for years. 10+ years later, my Uncle died today. This was the only music I could come back to. Rip Aaron, I'll love you and miss you forever buddy.

My interpretation of this song... To me, this is certainly a story of someone getting to know a lady and realizing that he is falling deeply in love with her. His arms are open wide to her love and he knew it from the start. They don't want to fall asleep for fear they would miss this moment together. He wants to tell her that he is "So yours for the taking" and he's tearing up trying to figure out how to say it. Then she kisses him as if to say, "you don't have to say it. I know how you feel and I feel the same way". They are basically both flying away together in love. But it's just beginning, and he knows that there will be times when they are apart. He feels that eventually they will be together but until then, "I'll keep you in my dreams" I felt this way when I met my wife. And like many others, we danced to this song at our wedding.

that is awesome! my mom has his autograph on her arm and got it tattooed and ''picking up pieces'' and then my step dad and my mom a getting a tattoo of a verse from the song debris! also she has 'kicking shadows on the street for every mistake that i had made' across her feet (hard to discribe unless seen) and right now we are in car driving 10 hours to go meet justin and the band!! :D this is the frist time I heard of this song and I fell in love with it...

Everyone has their first love. It's the first time you let yourself be vulnerable enough to share yourself with another person, and, usually, it's the first time you feel the kind of pain only heartbreak can bring. But for those weeks or months, it's the most beautiful thing. You never love as easily or as completely as you do the first time. We should treasure that memory, painful though it might be for some of us, lest in our cynicism we forget how to love that way.

I'm stating the obvious here but i love this song ;)

I fell in love with a guy when we were friends, but we stopped talking. We only saw each other for one week every summer at a camp. Then one summer at camp we started hanging out again but he had a girlfriend. The moment I realized I loved him was at camp, his legs on my lap. He was playing this song on a guitar and singing. Since then we haven't talked, but him and this song will always mean a lot to me.
