    The 18th century ran from 1700 to 1799. I think you're a couple of hundred years out on the dating. Late 20th most like.😁

    Not 18th century. I would have left more patina on it, not a fan of the mirror finish. Won't the bare metal parts rust again fast? How did you attach the thin yellow metal strips (springs?) to the main body? Good effort non the less! :)

    Conppetely ruin a perfectly built pipe wrech why did you decide to cut that stupid pattern into the adjuusting nut ? And its definitely not from the 18th centuray a simple google search shows that the first wrech of that style didnt get released until around 1869
