That chest is soooo beautiful. I’m in my 80s . My grandmother started taking me to antique auctions when I was 4. Addicted ever since. Don’t know why people like modern pack furniture. The past has beauty and true craft.often used to be really cheap. Often is sometimes. Not,long ago bought a book for 8. Sold for 800.00 on line. Try and save the past. 😊Dear Tee, you are special. Can you believe the retail price of that chest of drawers once restored? Astronomical. Don’t think I could bring myself to part with £9,000 pounds for a place to just store “bits & bobs”.

The numbers at the bottom of the statue are code numbers for the safe while the colors indicate the direction of the turn, left or right.

He would have thrown French-polish all over it anyway. 😂
