Too many drivers in SG drive big cars but no money to maintain it or for parking😂😂😂..

Clearly the crash is tyre related and caused by the rear aquaplaning. For a profile 305/30 R21, the risk of aquaplaning is higher than normal sized tyre due to much wider contact with the road surface. Since he was not speeding than the cause of it is definitely bald/expired rear tyres. The owner knows the truth but is in denial as the repair is going to be expensive. If he understands english, please read the comments on the social media, learn a lesson, pay the repair and move on.

Maybe you buy 2nd hand tyres? Who knows?

If you want to show us tyre change receipt, tyre conditions - then take a picture of each item and post. Just show us any receipt from any tyre shop - cannot see the item purchased, client vehicle number and expect us to believe? If you buy bridgestone, they will stick the serial number labels onto the receipt. How to make it “big” without the actual facts?

I happened to casually talked to my relative some time ago, who owns 2 Porsche cars, about car tyres, For Porsche cars, only Porsche-approved car tyres are "approved" to be fitted, and hence commands a premium price tag. Otherwise, the car road holding will not be covered. So, for this Porsche owner, he had to learn the hard lesson that buying performance car requires him to follow the car manufacturer terms and conditions closely. Perhaps he didn't read the Owner Manual Book and assume everything must follows his views and decision.

Did not show the actual reason of rejection claim, all per said by this man. Suspicious

It’s direct stock from Michelin Singapore authorized dealer NOT from some parallel dealer, if someone quoted you much cheaper for sure it’s a fake product , i suggest you check your tired serial numbers with the authorized dealer if it’s genuine or not , coz it concerns the safety not only you but your entire family.

New tyres cost easily $500 each, so that 2x at $135 is a refurbished one I supposed. Why rear worn to 0%, because most sports car are rear wheel drive. Your front tyre goes through that "pond" of water = aquaplaning. Nice job Liberty!

No one ask you buy the most expensive track day tyres when you’re just gonna use it for commuting, fresh daily use tires still better than second hand top of line bald tires

Super fast tyre wear is quite common in performance electric cars (e.g. 2000miles gone). Tons of complaints of premature wear in the US where most cars are very high horsepower. Also, tyre wear is almost never even, that's why people do regular tyre rotations!

Attempting to claim the insurance company irresponsible for your car but you yourself can't even be bothered to keep it in road worthy condition. Insurance doesn't cover vehicles that are not road worthy.

Any insurance will not pay. Owner has not exercise reasonable course of action to maintain the road- worthiness of his car. He was lucky he did not injure anyone in the accident.

Used/old tyres that are hardened, wear and tear very fast on high torque cars. And you showed only the driver side tyres, what about the passenger side tyres? Also show us the insurance letter details to further clarify their real stance.

His rear tyre is bald. Doesn't an expensive car like this give you a warning? Isn't there a lot of noise when you run the tyres down? Happened to me once years ago - so noisy I knew something was wrong. And the said tyre had lots of tread left. Incidentally, I've never bought tyres below $1,200 for set of 4. Most was $2,000.

Most Performance cars have Negative Camber; surveyors are Experienced enought to check the Inner side of tyres where the thread matters most. He only showed the outer shoulder. Also what Brand of new Tyres on a Porsche let alone EV cost $135/pc ???

Lesson of the day to always lookout for uneven threads on your tyres and judge accordingly when driving on the road. Common knowledge is always good even it applies to racers.

car appears to be driven at reasonable speed and road conditions is wet. Under such circumstances, if your tyres are functioning properly, the car wont be skidding. For your car to aquaplane with such conditions... err... who in their right mind would actually allow you to claim insurance? From the tyres shown, it appears that there are tyre threads, but only on the sides of the tyre. the center part of the tyre, looks very bare to the point, as if no threads at all. anyone who took driving lessons and pays attention on what causes a vehicle to aquaplane will be able to tell you that driving with those tyres... you're just asking for trouble... Sorry that you had such a mishap, but if I was the insurer, I also wont approve the claim, nothing is going to change the fact that the tyres on the car is indeed botak and is the likely cause of your car skidding on the wet road.

This is self-caused accident what, of course insurance will not pay lah. Maybe is due to human error or car fault. Even car manufacturer also don't want to be responsible, thus must be something wrong. New tyres also don't guarantee won't skid, cause maybe is china made or inferior tyres leh. Imagine every car go bang itself and insurances started paying, the insurance cost for all the other road users will sky rocket in days.
