Lovely little organ. The tremulant feels far too fast and deep for an instrument outside of a theatre, but a nice sound overall. Amazing isn't it that a 120+ year old instrument is more reliable than a modern digital camera! As always, great work from Brent and the OMF team.

You have to remember when the Church Organ first was developed starting in 700 AD it was the only loud sound people heard. At that time you could carry on a conversation across a field with someone 100 yards away. With this in mind you might just be able to imagine the impact a church organ would have on a worshiper of medieval times.

It would have been nice to hear the full organ with Récit coupled to Grand Orgue. It is a nice organ for a small church.

I even just wanted to hear the complete Diapason chorus--Great 8 and 4 with the Swell Mixture coupled down.

One nice feature on this organ is the OCTAVE coupler, not demoed here. It is interesting to play and have that octave above your hand playing along mechanically 👍.

A very old Casavant but it still has that characteristic Casavant sound that I grew up with.

There might still be a very very early Casavant tracker in an old Catholic church in Pittsfield, MA.

I hope the 1897 Casavant organ at St. Mary's in Westfield, MA is also featured on this channel. Even if it no longer the oldest Casavant in America, it still is very historic and it was also restored by Czelusniak.

A very nice instrument, with a lovely hautbois ! The facade pipes look as though they have been stencilled. Quite like in my church in Toronto.

Thus organ went from the chapel instead. Ann School, to Our Lady of Victories across town for almost a hundred years, then when Victories closed, it went to the newer St.Ann building that had closed several years earlier. It was stored in a corner there until being sold to its Mass home.

I like this organ a lot and really liked how she played Beethoven's Ode to Joy hymn, one of my favorites and one I first heard in Jr High School in the auditorium during some event I don't remember in the 70s

8' diapason-type pipes in the back.... Montre is in the front, Swell 8' Principal in the box.... I'm puzzled. What are the pipes in the back?...

Beautifully appointed instrument! The Dulciana and Gamba labelling seems to be reversed -- the Dulciana on the great sounds more like a Gamba, and vice-versa. I would think that the tremulant could be modified/adjusted. Very disappointing not to hear more of the fuller combinations -- swell principals and reeds coupled to great, great octave, and pedal. And -- seriously -- a mixture with the celeste?

The trem sounded like something you would find on a WulrTizer. However, Virgil Fox always uses fast a fast tremulant. Thanks for another super video,,

I would be the 'trem guy' for our company (Czelusniak et. Dugal). Realize that Organ Media is visiting a number of instruments under our care, and during the 'off season', a living, breathing instrument such as this fine organ, can have some things that need adjustment. (Manic?) 😆

Spellcheck ruined the first part of my above comment. This organ was originally installed in the school building at St.Ann until the large church was built in the 20s.
