I have one of the IAB sporting rifles as well. I tried making cartridges from the hair curler papers, and they were so fragile that they almost never made it from the cartridge box to the chamber. My wife gave it to me as a gift, and when I received it I had to replace the nipple, so I bought a couple from TOTW, and although they would thread in, the threaded part below the shoulder was too long, and the nipple wouldn't bottom against the shoulder. Also, the flash hole in the nipple was WAY too small, something like a #75 drill. Ignition was a real problem. Back to the drawing board. I bought some unbleached coffee filters, a packet of potassium nitrate from either eBay or Amazon (can't remember) and made nitrated paper to make the cartridges from. I also bought the Eras Gone mould, and have some of the bullets cast, but I haven't yet put the nipple in the lathe to solve its problems. Maybe one day soon.
