#181. Resin Art That SPARKLES Like CRYSTAL!!! A Video by Daniel Cooper
Here is a Resin Art video of me experimenting with UV resin and dish soap, this time adding bigger blobs to increase the magnification, my gut feeling worked and these pieces came out absolutely stunning! Much better than my previous smaller blob effects. I am naming this The Dish Soap Technique, I absolutely love creating new things with resin, plenty more to be created, watch this space!
Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

Thanks Anna 😊 So happy with this version! Many more with different backings need to be tried yet, looking forward to seeing others tests 😊😊
I totally agree with you about the trapped water (and associated bubbles) being a feature. Some of my favorite actual crystal specimens have trapped water in them, and I love the make the bubbles move around!
I would cure the balls and gather them up. Then, when you have lots of the resin balls (washed and dried), put them in a new mould cavity and then pour in your resin, perhaps coloured this time. I think that would make a huge difference. I should try it myself, actually. You've certainly got me thinking about experimenting... 😁
Love this series on experimenting with all these different substances.
WOW.😊
Another winning experiment! The colors are so pretty. They look like opals. 😍

It confounds me that you can put it into soap, set it, it comes out, then dunk it into water and set it, things I never would have tried, this is fantastic!!

Hi. I love your works. I don't understand the English so much but l would like to know if you use epoxi resin to made the heart before use UV resin. Tanks ❤

Thanks for the incredible video using this technique for UV resin. I now have an excellent idea of what to do for my Christmas designs for my bookmarks and charms. I also really liked the trapped water in the pendant and really think of it as an added feature. My idea is to take 2 heart halves, keep them hollow, mold them together, and turn them into a shaker charm. It should work out. Off to experiment.
The flat parts, before you add the extra resin thats a chance to add tiny bit of Mylar flake on the flat surface before adding the extra resin drop. Or you could add just a bit of the powder colour you have in the flat surface before the resin drop. You could make the drops different colours as a result. That way you’d have a couple colours balls on a nest of clear balls.
This is beautiful! I'm going to try that. My daughter will probably grab every one that I make. 😄

Daniel your stuff has come so far!! Pleeaaassseee do one, and then wipe it in a black, so that the black gathers in all the roundy bits (you know like you would if it was metal and you're trying to pull out the definition), i think it would really pop out!

❤WOW, They are gorgeous, but I would use a black backround, it might even be possible to do a reverseable pendent like this, but having the normal colored one and a black, and to resin glue them together, what do you think,? I think it would work wonderfully.
Wow that’s beautiful!
