by the way, in invasions or in brawls (the latter are dead, I know) you can also add the new oil physicks tear, which will double the damage of at least the first R1 (by what I understood the oil effect isn't constant, it's re-applied every second or so).

Fun fact: flame skewers second hitbox lingers for so long that that you can true combo a ugs r2 off it

@@pixelatedpyrotechnic really? I find it the easiest thing to avoid... Just dont stand in the obvious fire cloud... Sad to see they nerfed it so it deals no damage now. Perfumes are basically flails now. No poise damage, no actual damage, no roll catch potential just trash...

The best counter to this is BM. Attack during buffs.

It’s only considered BM by trash players who can’t fight without a huge advantage. Start the match however you want. But if your first move is a buff then the fight is on and you’re fair game. I’m not obligated to stand and watch someone tumble buff like they’re going into a boss fight. I guess now with the new Leda sword you could just watch them apply everything then immediately remove them all. Both are acceptable choices.

I think I found a good combo, idk if you looked at it already. Ripple Blade wild strikes with Eternal or regular Sleep Grease. If you sleep the enemy with a wild strike and they have enough poise, they won't get staggered out of the sleep allowing for alot of free wild strike hits. I have a feeling you already found this but if not it's a neat combo to do

Sword of night l2 charged or uncharged into the r2 can hit north of 1800 with the right talismans

This weapon is so overpowered, I've been using it with Oil+fire tear in the physik flask along with sleep spreadbow to proc st Trina's smile. Just one shotting people in invasions without even needing the mushroom crown or howl of shabriri 😂

Honestly, this is why I always thought letting people stack buffs in duels is dumb. Make 'em work for it. It's like expecting someone to let you build a full super bar for free at the start of the round.

There is also a few glitches that break PvP. The smith shield for some reason gets the buffs on your right hand weapon so flame skewer can add on to it. Also the death blight exploit is back with the madness torch. Dueling arena will be fucked for some time. My guess is this will go on for at least another 2 weeks because fromsoft wants people to experience the dlc as is. Reminds me of the ringed city dlc in ds3. Split leaf great sword was one of the earliest weapons you could get and it had a combo that nearly killed players. If you buff up then it would. Edit: I also forgot that the smithscript weapons as a whole is broken. Using a faith infused with either fire or electricity dramatically increases damage and scaling to the point that you could nearly kill players in 2 hits. So yeah dueling arena is utterly fucked for a bit.

I wasn't doing any of the buffs for the smithscript shield and still thought it was busted, spammable crazy tracking 3 fp + fp regen talisman can roll right after throwing high stagger for combos

2,843 at LV125. I could squeeze just a bit more and maybe hit 3k. "Perfectly balanced."

...Huh, I was wondering why that stream ended so quickly after I went AFK @0:04; guess I now know why.

Last guy got hit by 1816 because he only had 1816 hp. You can see first hit was 1282. So 1282 + 2 = 2564. Yeah you're not surviving that in arena
