    I just started, and love it! Some words sound so similar. I speak english and German fluently. Eple/Apple is prounced the same as we say it here in germany. Äpfel is turned into Äppl ...which is pronounced similar to Eple (to me at least 😅🤣🤣🤣)

    Just listen and read. Do not try learn word by word. You will learn much faster when you just listen.

    @@adorable3817 yes but it might be good for us as learners ,because learning two languages which are similar to each others could make you learn one and forget the other, it's possible but not easy and annoying .

    Kjæreste actually means "dearest" which makes it a gender-neutral term as well. That makes more sense than English "girlfriend" when you think about it. Can't a girl just be a friend without romance?
