The big mistake I made was that you can't craft an upgrade of alchemy items or amour and weapons without the basic. Then when you have reached they end of the game merchants, herbalists etc don't seem to sell the basic diagrams. For example, I picked up superior and enhanced relict oil but because I never picked up the basic one I was never able to craft it. So my tip is buy/collect as many crafting diagrams as you can early in the game

Use Axii on Harpies to make a single one falls asleep on air and drop down to the ground. It's fun. Use Axii on Aghouls calm them down.

You can place it, you’re probably just being interrupted. Wraiths can be pretty pesky with their fast movement and attacks.

You can craft it, yeah. I made my first GM set recently by buying/dismantling for the raw materials and crafting the ingots/plates. Turns out, its a lot cheaper than buying the end product outright

Ok, Is there any tip for connect the narrative better? I mean, did everything in WO and Velen, then I did most of the quests in Novigrad until the point where an old friend ask you if you're going to sail to Skellige...which I did, but leave like half of important matters for main characters cooking there and because noticed I was over leveling for many skellige quests, and I don't want to go fully into the Skellige main story line too quick to be able to return to finish Novigrad🤔

​@@Devon-hw6ih you can fast travel between skellige and novigrad easily so do what you feel like. There is actually a point of no return prompt as you near the end of the main quest line.

I have my questions if Gourmet is really effective. If you’re doing Death March, you know how to save and how to dodge enemies. And when you use fast travel, it always saves. Yesterday I was playing around with some explosives barrels (using igni and aard) and by mistake I died. 😂. Gourmet is useful only in White Orchard and maybe at beginning of Velen…

My advise. Play on Death March on your 2nd playthrough. The game is so cheeky, youll need to be properly equipped.

Meh you don't need to wait. Just get yourself some oils and weapons. Then you'll be fine as long as you're not underlevel. So dm just sucks until you're like level 4

I never played this and still " hate " it. I have tried GOG version, Steam version and even a pirated version i can´t get it to launch. I have 3 year old Legion desktop PC with 16 Gb ram, RTX 2070 8Gb and Intel Core i5 @ 2.80GHz Coffee Lake 14nm Technology CPU. I have tried all suggestions from internet and still i have not succeeded to launch it. It just jumps back to desktop after few seconds after loading. Today i am playing Starfield with my rig on ultra and it works fine. Where is the fault?

Vellen in general is a horror movie.... I love/hate that whole first section of the game. Its such a dark depressing way to start out but it also really keeps you on your toes when your super low level and everything can 1-2 shot you on death march

When I started this game it said you need alcohol to replenish potions. My dumb ass thought it meant during combat and referring to those food alcohols to make the potions last longer during a fight. I fought the 1st griffin using food alcohols during the fight and this was unnecessarily harder than witcher 2.

What's the point in playing a game with a load of cheat mods on it 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼

It's not a competion, he can play it however he wants. The same goes for elden ring, some people find it fun fighting bosses using katanas and underwear while some just want just want to use flashy magic to overpower the enemies. The point is that most games are meant to be enjoyed however you would like.

Not often mentioned, the higher difficulty you play at, the stronger geralt is. The monsters are also, of course, stronger but if you want to see geralt at his best, play on a higher difficulty!

Examine the stats on your equipment, see what it increases, add runestones that add more % to the effects already on your equipment. As for potions, just try stuff you like. Thunderbolt, petris, and swallow feels like a pretty standard setup. Thunderbolt for extra sword damage, petris for extra magical power, and swallow if you need to heal. I also really like the decoction that increases your attack power for every physical attack you land for the duration of the fight. But read the descriptions, see what comes in handy for the way you play the game. It’s all about curating the character to how you want him to operate

@@dlbarnes depends how much you want to play. if u want to complete everything in the game then yes. For me, it was not worth it. I spent about 100hours doing main quests, side quests and tresaure hunts and i think thats enough for a game like this but some people like to complete everything and then u have to play like 300-400 hours or more

It’s edibles, not eatables. One might also say victuals, vittles, grub, chow, foodstuffs etc. Why edibles not eatables? IDK, English is weird. At least we don’t have tu/vous distinction and gender for inanimate objects. Except for boats, and maybe a few other things… sometimes.

I see you love Alchemy but what's the point. I'm currently on 18 level and this game is so easy on deathmarch that I rarely even use swallow. 1 dose of 1 potion is enough. Well maybe it's because I'm cheating. I changed hotkeys so my dodge is on RMB and because it's most important move after attack it's easy game for me.

Most of these are more like tricks not tips 😂 😂 😂
