18 - Statfold Miniatures in Steam Rally 6-8th May 2023

We have a couple of days at the Statfold Miniature in Steam festival with over 80 engines present on the day.
We dodge the rain on Saturday and have a glorious day on the Sunday in the Sun.
There'll be 3 more videos in this series from Statfold coming soon.
Traction Engine, Steam Engine, Miniatures, , 6 Inch Engine, model, coal, steam, Burrell, Foster, Garrett all that kind of thing.

This was a nice surprise after getting home from a night shift! Great video again, thanks mate! Ive not managed to make it to statfold barn yet but i do consider it every year! Looks good, lots of engines there! 👍😎😮

Wouldnt mind doing Statfold but its a best part a 400mile round trip for us southerners which is a tank of diesel in the tranny, recognise a few faces/engines, Saturday was pretty pants everywhere I think, not just ooop norf. Our next one is Fawley Hill McAplines place, never been there so should be interesting especially given they have the steepest standard gauge railway hill.

Yeah - distance has put me off a few railies this year - It's the cost of fuel that's the killer.

@@SteamOTR How you doing for coal, last year was very sketchy I found, was Statfold offering any and was it Welsh or the foreign stuff 🤐

@@PhoneVidoes Had a bag From Statfold but it was Anthracite. I've still got a ton and a half of Welsh that'll keep me going for a while.

My Hilux is about 16mpg with the twin axle trailer so it adds up quickly!

@@SteamOTR Wise, yup got a couple of ton of welsh I got before the prices went silly, to be honest I wish I got more of the stuff, looking back now should have bought 5 or 6 ton of the stuff and then moved on half of it which would have easily paid for my half and a good few beers.
