Hello and I apologise for not seeing this question for so long time. All those pieces are published only for solo tuning, so there is unfortunately no option to play them with orchestra tuning. I am myself not a big fan of "solo tuning", because it doesn't do what it claims... but regarding all those pieces attached to Simandl's method that's the way it is

@@bozoparadzikcom thanks for finally replying. I almost forgot what I asked, but now I see your choice of using original tuning. I play cello btw, and always admire double bassists who play solos with just original tuning. I really appreciate the originality, and I think (simpleton like me) I enjoy this very much. Much or less I learn how bassists shift in huge intervals (I still find shifting is hard on the cello). It is not merely audience experience watching all the performance here (I went back to this video many times!), it is more like a masterclass performance in which I do learn something. Thanks again for sharing 🙏💙

Bass is very quiet. Its a shame its projection and tonal properties makes it a poor solo instrument

Acoustic guitar is also very quiet, even quieter, and it is not a poor solo instrument therefore... it is all matter of taste. Of course trombone is much louder

Božo Paradžik 33:59. I did not know that you can hold the bow the way the woman is holding it, when playing double bass. That's the first time I've seen this, and the first time I've seen a woman play double bass. That was great! (I'm a woman, too, but just started playing cello about two months ago.)

shes using a german bow thats why! it requires a completely different grip compared to the french bow (the bow that all string players use) but us bass' have the except to choose between the two different types.
