Don't be scared of talking to new people, they're in the same boat as you, trust me. Stop saying "I can't do it" if you haven't tried very hard (I'm still working on that one). Working hard really does pay off. Really really. You do deserve all the wonderful things people have given you/done for you. Don't be so hard on yourself, they wouldn't be so kind if they didn't think you deserve it.

you're not as annoying as you think you are. you are not as loud as you think you are. no you are not oversharing and you shouldn't regret. your body is very lovely and you deserve new clothes so stop hesitating. everyone has their quirks, some more than some. stop listening to the enemy. everyone looks different with new hairstyles and people will stare, so let them. stop brushing off your creativity and ideas as "phases", you never know if one of them (or more) will become your niche. also chill man.

I had a pretty rough high school experience, i was not bullied or anything but just felt out of place and not understood most of the time. I remember listening to conan's original songs and scribbling on my notebook back then whenever we had a free period. His new stuff doesn't really appeal to me, but he still has a precious place in my heart as my ' big brother':) he was and is a precious human being.

I literally love everything you're saying so much. You may still be young but you are such a grown-minded and inspirational individual. I am very glad that you share bits of that mind with the internet and I get to hear them. In this past year I mainly came to the realisation that every lowest point is gonna be followed by a high one. Pain isn't permanent. I also mainly started getting into art and finding it for myself as the best way of therapy and dealing with life. I hope you have a good new year

Things I learned: Do not rely on others for happiness or to “complete” you. You have to be whole on your own. Also, learn to differentiate between liking the attention someone gives you and actually liking them.

I learnt this year that I am naive. That there's so much that I don't know and that being wrong is completely alright. It's okay to be wrong and I need to accept that I am wrong once in a while.

I'm gonna be 19 in a few months and it's so crazy. I remember being a 14 year old thinking I was gonna be a rockstar by this age lmao, but hey, life isn't always what we think it's gonna be and I WISH i could tell my younger self to NOT FEAR ANYTHING ! I just found out who you are, and you honestly inspire me so much, because I've always loved singing and music but I never made my own music because I honestly thought I just couldn't do it. I have also loved making videos and editing since I was like 10 and I honestly felt that youtube was my calling lol, but I always feared that people from my school would see my videos, so i deleted a bunch that I put so much effort into :( However, I've recently been trying to write soo many originals, and even get back to making videos (maybe short films) and trying to figure out what capabilities I hold. Never put yourself down or doubt yourself. It inspires me to see those around my age living pretty much my dreams because I'm like hey, it's not too late, I'm still young (:

i just turned 18 as well and I wrote down some of the lessons l learned by now like you did.. I cannot share everything but some of them are..... 1. cliché, but most importantly, live your present to the fullest 2. there are so many people out there who are in desperate need, we MUST become helps to them because we have been helped so much as well and it's important to know the value of sharing. 3. everyone is broken in some way and it is good to accept our own flaws because we are all imperfect humans 4. last thing here, there are always bad days as there are also good days. Sometimes we think that our lives suck because of those bad days, but it's just them, not that your life is bad.

it's okay to cry. once and awhile, it could get to be to much. we, as humans, aren't supposed to hold our emotions forever. it's okay to be vulnerable once and awhile to just be. just be who you are and let yourself go and not care what you look like or what to say or what others are thinking. it's okay.

Something I've learnt is that feeling sad about something or getting upset doesn't make you attention-seeking and it doesn't make you a drama queen. Your emotions are valid and you shouldn't beat yourself over how you feel about things.

"Learning how to forgive." For the past few months I held grudges that's been ripping me apart and hurting me. Yesterday, I finally let that go and I feel so refreshed.

Your room is such goals

One of the biggest lessons I try to keep reminding myself is that growth is so possible. Instead of saying “I hate that I’m such a messy person,” I’m trying rephrase it as “I want to work on being cleaner and I know I can improve this with time and effort.” I feel encouraged and reminded of my own ability to grow when I look back on things that once seemed so hard but now are so easy. Like, heck, we all couldn’t walk or talk or read at one point in life and look at us now! I think there’s so much growth to be had by all of us and the more that I am embracing that optimism, the easier life has been. I hope everyone who reads this is doing well and if you haven’t heard it today, I’m very proud of you!

i learned somthing 2 days ago. that when you feel alone you always have sombody out there that can help you just by writing a message to you.even if they are on the other side of the world

It is incredible that certain things which you wrote down I have only just discovered myself, and I'm 22. It truly shows that you have embraced every aspect of your life, the good and the bad, took time to observe and analyse your circumstances and learned from them. This makes you such a wise and unique soul. I have only recently subscribed but I can't be happier for what you have already achieved at 18. To be this sure of yourself is a big feat, it takes decades for most people to get to this point. Big things are headed your way and I'm rooting for you! :)

I know I'm really late, but what I learned is that I deserve the best... Not in a selfish way, but I was in a very abusive (more mentally than physically) relationship, and I lost so many people I loved because of it, especially me... But from that, I learned I deserve so much better than that. I deserve someone who truly loves who I am and I most importantly deserve to be happy and love myself. I continue to grow from this lesson, even today when I wore something different than what's excepted at school, because I loved it. But to sum things up, thank you Conan. You may not think this, but you help a lot of people with getting through things, so I'm very thankful for you ❤

So I want to say EVERYTHING I've been feeling since the day I found you on KZread but that would be really hard. I've tried to be a better person ALWAYS but I always failed. The thing that my mom isn't proud of me really made me feel sad and guilty. Since the time I became depressed and overly sensitive I felt like everything and everyone is against me because no one actually cared about me; not my parents nor my friends but I didn't care so I continued trying to impress people around me, to make my mom proud. I started learning to school a lot and I helped people. But like I said at the begging I've failed several times and I tried to take my life away. But then I found you here, on KZread. You are the type of person who seems like the most kind and most worth it. You are my inspiration and by watching you and listening to you I've learned that I have to wait for success and keep trying, not giving up. I think all I just wrote is total nonsense but I had to write because I've been holding this in me for so long. one thing I've learned is to "never compare yourself to others." you are you and there is no changing that. don't waste your time comparing yourself. you are the best you, you can be and you have so much potential and ability. so don't lose your spark.
