I actually started crying when I heard hyunjin replying to the stay who shared their story about their father's health because the fact that his one reason for studying english is to communicate with his fans and he was able to do that with such sincerity and clarity really impressed me and he never fails to surprise me with how much he improves. I know he has both bang chan and felix as well as other members who are also very good at english, but learning a language really takes a certain type of motivation and it just proves how much he loves stays.

I know! It was so amazing and my father has been sick as well and he is now paralysed in his legs and the fact that Hyunjin said that was very touching to me and that all of Stray Kids care so much about their fans. When Hyunjin is talking about something serious, or sad, you can see how much he really cares. He try's his very best to say everything correctly, and it shows. He has wonderful pronunciation, and it makes me so happy to see that when he makes minor mistakes, he tries to correct them to his best ability. He does just that.

I'm proud of him, English is the hardest language to learn if you didn't grow up speaking it. he is doing so well.

What’s a bias

In a year or two he’ll be fluent . His pronunciation was always on point and his grammar is actually good , he just needs to be confident that’s all. So proud of him ... he went from “your behavior is so ughhh” to giving freaking counseling sessions in english . So proud of him.

To those who felt inspired by hyunjin to learn korean as he is working hard to learn english, I recommend "talk to me in korean" or ttmik here in yt. They helped/are helping me a lot to improve. Be sure to start with lesson 1 if youre a real beginner to not overwhelm yourself. Having a notebook where you can jot down notes as you watch/listen helps (at least for me). Lets learn korean together :)

I read someone else's comment that said that his pronunciation is really good but he just needs time to explain himself which I totally agree with. His vocabulary may be limited but his pronunciation is pretty on point and honestly, I personally feel like proper pronunciation is what will make you sound more fluent vs someone who knows more words but has a heavier accent.

This is very true, sometimes I teach English to Spanish speakers and they don't really want to talk because they're not very fluent yet, so one day I showed them some clips of Hyunjin because I thought he was a great example about trying to express your ideas with the knowledge you have, that's how all learners start after all. I think it did help because my students were not so self-conscious anymore, although now they keep asking to see more videos of that cute guy😂

@@julissa7294 yeah my spanish teacher always tells us to just "work around" what we want to say with words we know and that has been one of the most helpful things when it comes to learning a language. Try to speak it as much as possible, and its okay to be wrong

that speech at the concert made my heart absolutely melt. he has no obligation to be really good at english and yet he really tries to be because he wants to be able to talk to international stays and i just find that so cute and so heartwarming

I said this exact thing in another comment as well but the subtitles actually added many more mistakes than he actually made. I speak English fluently and I heard only one mistake at the concert (I'm referring specifically to the concert btw). They did him dirty.

No one is really talking about this but the way he described dealing with insomnia was very relatable. Even when he was at a loss of words and had a difficult time expressing his thoughts, I felt like I could still understand what he was trying to express. You can see that he’s improved a lot. I love hyunjin but it’s moments like these that make me fall in love with him (and the rest of the members) all over again

he really makes a sincere effort to speak english its so lovable🥲

The more I see Hyunjin and the way he interacts with Stay the more I really like him. I am a very new fan and at first to me he seemed kind of standoffish and cold but the way he responded to they Stay with the sick father was so heartwarming. He seemed to genuinely care and looked upset.💕💕

I love the fact he tries to explain what he thinks about the stories and comments but can’t because he doesn’t know how. He genuinely tries to cheer you up or explain how he feels but simply can’t. Plus his English is super good! I’m studying Korean on my own right now and it’s really hard.

hyunjin is learning english for strays but we are learning korean for stray kids. i used to do korean lessons as a kid but gave up after a while. straykids really gave me so much more motivation to continue

I think it's so precious how he tries his best to give stay advices and show he cares, even though he can't really express what he really wants to say. Must be frustrating, especially because he really wants to help, but he's already brave to even try. I love him so much 😭

I love that hyunjin always makes sure to get his point across even if he knows the grammar is wrong or the vocabulary is not right he doesn't give up to express his thoughts. His determination to comfort Stays always stays above his fluency of English and I love him for that

it makes me happy that hyunjin is able to talk to some stays from speaking in english. though he is still learning, im happy that he is able to get some words out and we can understand him well enough to understand what he fully wants to say/the message he wants to sends us. i know he probably has a lot more things to say but can't be able to say it because of the limited amount of english he learned/is learning but im very glad that he is learning english for us STAY and just so that he has another way to talking to us.

hyunjin sometimes sounds like a kid that just got in trouble but doesn't know how to explain why they did it

hyunjin’s pronunciation is so good. I can tell he puts so much effort into speaking English and communicating with stays. he’s really inspiring and he’s so sweet, I’m proud of him!

Bruh, I got through it too and I was guilty it took me months to recover, imagine im not even famous and so but I struggled alot, hyunjin is famous and a lot of people eyes are glancing at his moves everytime and it makes it 10x harder for me also fucking jype isn't doing a lot of effort too so that sucked a lot, I hope he is doing okay nowww

@@karumaokami8208 lemme shorten it, he is almost 3 months suspended to be with skz now, since there are fakse accusation of him being violent while studying back when he was in middle school. (The whole situation was proven to be false) but JYP put him in "hiatus", means he cannot be joining skz with activities, not even perform, or any appearance of him in the public world since there is a scandal. Hope he is going back, but... its really blurry till today tho

he's working so hard and trying to convey what he wants to say even when he's not sure of the grammar and wording. im so proud of him, not everyone is brave enough to speak like that in front of a camera

I can listen to Hyunjin all day everyday. I love that he’s trying with his English♥️

i find it really touching that he still tried his best responding to those stay’s stories despite not being 100% able to express how he feels, it’s really sweet and you can really tell how much he cares for them because he tries his best to find the words
