#8 got me too the first time I went! 🤣🤣🤣 Also when you prepay your gas, you don’t know exactly how much you need to fill up the tank, if it’s completely filled up and you still some change left, walk back to the cashier to get the rest of your money back😃

I loved driving to the west coast and driving through the mountains from north to south. The scenery was absolutely stunning. 😊

@@anitrasrisuk I'm jealous! I spent most of my time in the city, but I know Puerto Rico has so much more to offer outside of San Juan. You should share any pictures or things you learned from your trip in my Facebook group. I'm wanting to establish a community of travelers who can all share their experiences with each other and connect with other travelers. I'm sure someone would gain some value from your experience. If you choose to, you can find the link to my group in the description :)

Let me correct a few things from the video. The Perla is a dangerous place, if you want to go inside you need to follow the instructions of the gang members, if they tell you no to take video or pictures of certain areas you better obey or you probably won't survive the experience, there's basically no paying at the pump in any gas station in the island cause the gas stations want people to enter their convenient store. Book your rental car in advance before you get to the island, during high season is almost impossible to get a rental car if you didn't booked it with a month in advance. Driving here is like New York or Miami, plenty of aggressive drivers like me who hate going behind a slow moving gringo. If you're a average American driver better avoid the mountain roads and stick to the coast and highways. Phone service is not a problem as long as you don't have Verizon, that company doesn't work here, AT&T and T-Mobile works perfectly fine. Something he didn't mention and is very important: always check the weather especially if you're going to the beach or some river here. Always check for weather alerts cause beaches here are dangerous because of underwater currents and very high waves and flash floods can happen in a river even if the area where you're is sunny, there's always some rain falling in the mountains and a flash flood can happen suddenly.

Andrew your Spanish pronunciation is really bad. It is Arroz con Gandules and translated as Rice with Pidgeon peas or Congo peas (an African-based pea high in iron). Pasteles and frituras, etc all badly pronounced. You are also obvious in your choice of points to cover. Should have tried to be more about the unique aspects of Puerto Rican culture. You should have said more about speaking SPANISH because I really disliked your ethnocentric points of view about Puerto Rico.

I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to mention my poor Spanish haha. All these tips were based off my own experience, and hopefully next time I can experience more of Puerto Rico so I can give more insight into the culture. My apologies if you feel like I disrespected the culture, but I can't please everybody 🤷‍♂
