Sorry, but you can't compare a continent with one country. Germans love their cars and are sceptical with electric cars. In Spain and Italiy you get free water. 6 weeks of paid vacation. Everybody watching your video in Europe is laughing. Cigarettes are in Hipster parts fashion, no more. Germans would never eat longer than 1 hour ...

Here's a list of misinformation contained in this video: #1: some establishments make you pay for using their toilets, mostly gas stations on highways. Most public toilets are free, but you might want to order something at the place to use their bathroom. #2: tap water at restaurants is free, but you can pay for bottled water #4: it's the other way around, but otherwise true #5: football (soccer for my fellow Americans) is about as big in Europe as American football is in the US. Though honestly, apart from that and Tour de France, Olympics and F1 there isn't much in terms of big sporting events. #7: literally completely false #8: false #9: false. A small portion of people can speak multiple languages. The reason why you'd think Europeans are polyglots is because the only ones you talk to speak English (so a foreign language) already. You're looking only at the X% who speak two languages and jump into conclusions. #17: same logical fallacy as previously

@@lucyk2634 The amount of public toilets you must pay for using is basically zero. Water is free in most establishments unless you ask for a bottle, if you ask for a jar or just a glass they will serve it to you for free. In europe we dont drive less, public transport is more common for getting arround because it doesn't have the stigma it does in the US. Sporting events a r e really big, soccer is the maij sport in europe, and there are like 18731 soccer events a year. Normal size food portions. In no way shape or form are cigarettes considered "fashionable" they are prohibited in most if not all indoor spaces and are actually seen as a health hazard just as much as in any other part of the world. No one dresses to impress ALL the time. Not all toilets have that and, I find that such an uneccesary "fact". There are noy fewer trash cans, but europeans tend to live in flats instead of homes so there is community trash, therefore less trash cans for more people. Not all street sings are posted on buildings, nor is this a common thing in all of europe. Eating out is not an "all day" activity, its mostly done on the weekends or special ocassions. Idk who the fuck gets 6 weeks paid vacation, but for me at least, I know a grand total of: 0 people who get more than 2 weeks of vacations. Yes, I think he left something on the list. Accuracy.

Please don't crucify me for being American, but I think he just meant in terms of attendance, not in terms of atmosphere or the passion/history around rivalries. I've been fortunate enough to go to Prem and Bundesliga matches, and I agree it is a far better atmosphere than the average NFL game. I also think there are environments in the US that any sports fan would enjoy. That said, here are some stats I'm afraid this comment section won't like. These are all averages: NFL (32 teams): 69,389 fans/game FBS (College, 132 teams): 41,840 Premier League: 40,267 (I recognize lower league attendance in the UK is remarkable) Bundesliga: 43,062 La Liga: 30,209 Ligue 1: 23,810 Serie A: 29,495 MLS (29 clubs): 21,107!! (Messi will do miracles for this number) MLB (32 teams, 162-game season): 26,753 NBA/NHL (30/32 teams, 82 games): 18,000+ indoors With 20 clubs each, you can see that on any given weekend, College Football alone averages more fans in attendance than the Top 5 leagues in Europe combined, all while the US supports several other (there are more, a lot more) well-attended sports leagues. That might be what this video meant, but does that mean American sports fans are better? Absolutely not, I think European fans are more passionate and the clubs mean more to their communities. I will continue to educate the Americans around me about the great fans, traditions, and atmospheres that y'all have, but hopefully, you learned something about sports culture in the US and now we understand each a little bit better :)
