There were good reasons why there was a revolution but the some aspects of the outcome weren't what some people might have liked. Whatever his faults, Stalin built up the economy of his country and managed to overcome a much fouler regime in 1943-45. Unfortunately he did stuff afterwards that were shall we say "superfluous" and still causing trouble today (the partition of Korea).

One of my father's friends is a distant relative of the Ruriks, but she is probably not the next in line for succession -- she is not closely related to Nicholas II or any of the other murdered members of the Russian royal family, or even to the house of Romanov (as shown by her last name, which is Rurikova and not Romanova). And I also doubt that she would want to give up her American citizenship to be crowned as Russia's queen. But I'm sure there are many other relatives of the Romanovs and the Ruriks who are scattered throughout the world, either in Russia or in other countries!

at this point the russians would be better off with a tsar back on the throne: they already have an absolute ruler, but this one has pissed off half the world. also no security when he dies, it'll be a grab for power. despite the fact that monarchies are mostly ceremonial nowadays, they do open doors and can facilitate and strengthen diplomatic bonds. also a sense of stability with heirs who should theoretically be groomed for the position.

The German Eagle was black but had only one head. it only appeared after the formation of the German Empire in 1871. The Austrian and Russian eagles were very similar, both with two heads, a small crown on each head with a larger one between. They both claimed to have inherited it along with the title of 'New Rome' from the Holy Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire respectively

I believe the Semenovsky Regiment was formed under the auspices of Peter the Great, same as the Preobrazhensky Regiment. If memory serves me right, the Preobrazhenskys wer supposed to be tall, fair-haired Russians and the Semenovskys were to be dark haired and dark eyed Russians. If I am mistaken in this, someone please correct me. The music for both regiments is stirring and exciting. Were either or both of these regiments involved in actual combat with Soviet Forces, or are they ceremonial?

@monkeypoo3000 The main reason for that is that they didn´t preper for a war as large and long as ww1 and istead focused on a much smaller war(they didn´t spend that much money on the military as the germans did)and people actually starved all over Europe because of the war. Don´t forget that the Russian Empire did have access to some impressive technology like the first 4 engine bomber the Ilya Muromets.

@Chandersson25 Most reckon it would have been a great power by 1930 without any of the gulags. One of the reasons Germany attacked Russia in 1914 was because her Generals calculated she would be too powerful for Germany to fight after 1919. Bismarck understood the potential power of Russia so peace with her was absolutely essential for Germany.

@ohnoshedidntw8 if by foundations and czars you mean Peter the Great and Ivan Grozny, yes, they did it. If you talk about modern industry, the development made by Imperial Russia was too little to be considered. Because in fact, the foundation of Soviet Industry was laid by Lenin's NEP

@horselips wow if you believe that, you must also believe in fairies at the bottom of the garden. what an extraordinary thing to say. the monarchies you describe fell and the systems that they upheld because they failed to move with the times. Something one could ascribe to you and your beliefs. Ironically, the Windsors you mention know they still have a throne because of this simple idea - change or die.

@monkeypoo3000 They didn´t really "refuse to industrialize Russia" the truth of the matter is that there was a lot of competion from other powers so it took along time but by 1914 the Empire of Russia was one of the largest industrial powers on the planet.

at this point the russians would be better off with a tsar back on the throne: they already have an absolute ruler, but this one has pissed off half the world. also no security when he dies, it'll be a grab for power. despite the fact that monarchies are mostly ceremonial nowadays, they do open doors and can facilitate and strengthen diplomatic bonds. also a sense of stability with heirs who should theoretically be groomed for the position.

Марш Лейб Гвардии Семеновского полка!Стоять смирно !
the amblem in two headed eagle is my saint day, saint george. very proud of it.
Ahh Imperial Russia, a great and powerful force of the 1700s. I admire them old world empires. Prussia, France, and of course Russia. This music is a testimate to how mighty the great Russian Empire was at the time.
Россия !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! До слез
@RL539 we are not ready yet
wise words!
Greetings from Curitiba, Brazil.
@ohnoshedidntw8 then how come so many people were starving and they didn't even have enough rifles for their military?
Марш семеновского полка.
kicks ass harder than metal :)
Super! My favorite March of all time. The Russian Imperial March! It is time to restore the Great Russian Empire and all Empires for that matter. And all Kingdoms of Europe! Long live Monarchy! Long live Russia. Restore The Russian Empire with Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna as Empress of Russia and of all the Russias! Bozhe Tsaria Hrani! God save the Tsar!
@TheMyBellflower Is the Duchess a cousin of the late Romanovs?
@sergeikozin47 Those soldiers that did that will be dealt with don't you worry about that. What country is that if I may ask?
lolz First picture got a Swedish flag (looks like a Towel) in the backround and sweden and Russia where kind of Nemessises back then
"orchestra by: A Skriabine, France 19??" isn't he one of russian componists who wrote poeme de l'exstase?
i wish the czars were still in power
@Cirvantes123 not sure if he ever got any kind of burrial
Это марш Семеновского полка . Семеновский полк - полк старой гвардии . царь Петр создал первые регулярные полки русской армии . Это были Семеновский и Преображенский полки .
@RL539 who will be a new Zar in that case?
@RL539 Actually he was a Marshal of France in the Napoleonic Wars. He was French by birth and was elected in 1810 as heir to the Swedish Crown. Actually it is nothing new, the first Belgian King Leopold I was actually German born British subject, his surname was Van Saksen-Coburg-Gotha.
@RL539 And who would be a monarch?
@Chandersson25 did you not understand the point of what he just said?
@Kuhlvolks I was thinking more of Britain and Sweden.
@fdsdh1 how was imperial russia bad??
Я грек, я не могу писать на русском языке, я сейчас писать с помощью Google Translate машины. @lilestfozzy I think he did make it to Russia, where he suffered a terrible defeat and the loss of many lives of his own soldiers.
forget my previous comment, agree.
@Maxmotor2009 With due respect,Our true king by right of lineage is King Francis Wittlesbach-Stuart who resides in Bavaria, his Royal niece H.R.H Sophia of Liectenstein is a real princess of England.
They had tapes back than?
Scriabin orchestred this...my gosh
so what about the golden down?
What is this one called?
This is the march of Semionovsky o_O
@RL539 Although I replied to your post my reply was more in general. Actually if you think about it all the Royals are one big family.
@RL539 , so funny, Most tsars are from germany. some of them even can not speak russian, so do you mean invite another germany guy to be your king?
I believe the Semenovsky Regiment was formed under the auspices of Peter the Great, same as the Preobrazhensky Regiment. If memory serves me right, the Preobrazhenskys wer supposed to be tall, fair-haired Russians and the Semenovskys were to be dark haired and dark eyed Russians. If I am mistaken in this, someone please correct me. The music for both regiments is stirring and exciting. Were either or both of these regiments involved in actual combat with Soviet Forces, or are they ceremonial?
I wonder what gave you that conclusion, though I really appreciate your comment. No, I ain't officially a fool, but if that is your impression about me, then I'm not hold any grugdes. Just send me a list of any other impressions you have about me before Christmas Eve, thank you very much. And yeah, Merry Christmas to you too.
@luckyStrike89ru okay, but both countries are now power hungry. its depends on the government who control the country.

Main theme of russian empire in Total FotS
@ElocTheComrade What point is that? 'Everyone should have equal', 'Everyone IS equal', that crap?
I know you don't now but you started it all of!
I thought the black eagle-ish birds and gold background was the sign of the "Holy Roman Empire" back in medieval ages AKA the germans.. Or am I wrong?
Rossyia Rossyia Rossyia...
I agree RL539
This is surely the regimental march of the Izmaylovsky Regiment of Guards?
@JrFLYnnIV Exacly but others helped out aswell like Alexander II who emancipated the serfs
@RL539 we still.
@Kuhlvolks Especially the Britains didn't like this since their king and the Tzar were close cousins
LOL love it!!!
He destroyed more than just one. His legacy destroyed dozens.
@RL539 Why do you think so?
@Chandersson25 Most reckon it would have been a great power by 1930 without any of the gulags. One of the reasons Germany attacked Russia in 1914 was because her Generals calculated she would be too powerful for Germany to fight after 1919. Bismarck understood the potential power of Russia so peace with her was absolutely essential for Germany.
The Russian city is called "St. Peterburg". St. Petersburg (with an S) is in Florida.
I thing that in history when armies march and fight for Emperors,Kings and Coutry it was more nacional feelings in hears of soldiers For King and Coutry
Лейб-гвардии Семеновский полк, Браво!
This march "Semenov" regiment. Semenov regiment second glory in Russia. The first was the "Transfiguration" (Preobrazhensky)
@monkeypoo3000 They didn´t really "refuse to industrialize Russia" the truth of the matter is that there was a lot of competion from other powers so it took along time but by 1914 the Empire of Russia was one of the largest industrial powers on the planet.
0:25 Serbian flag was also yelow in year 1346, its almsot indentical
@RL539 I hope! Я надеюсь!
Oh nice To which region?
Right and I'm father christmas.
@CoolJeka And your "peacefull" Canada?)))
@laserbeam5 Вот из-за таких слов и начинаются конфликты.
