Let me add a touch about the “Languages” spoken in Belgium, recall listening to a language there which sounded bit like a French Dutch mixture; upon checking, came to know that it’s a dialect called Flemish spoken in some parts of Belgium.

Official languages here are Dutch ( spoken by majority), French...and a small minority German. And there are many Dialects spoken here from region to region all derived from Dutch language ( in the Flemish area). The Netherlands and Belgian people do understand each other, as far as we speak proper Dutch. I am Malayalee in Belgium past many years. I do speak, read and write Dutch; also can speak local dialect!!

Nice vlog about Belgium. I live here past many years. Malayalees athratholum illa. Belgium has many beautiful historical cities and towns. In the west Flanders is the UNESCO heritage town of Brugge, where I live. Millions of tourists come here. Ghent is another city to visit. Antwerp city, Liege, Namur, Iepers (world war devastated area, and rebuilt)...and much more. Two days is not enough in Belgium. Brussels has many beautiful localities to see, other than the Grand place and surroundings. Godiva Chocolate is one of best quality Belgian chocolate
