1700 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಗಡಾಯಿಗಲ್ಲು | Jamalabad Fort Trekking | Gadaigallu | Narasimhagada | MMK Travel Vlogs
Jamalabad Fort or Narasimha Gada is a historical fort located in Belthangady, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, India. It is also called Gadai Kallu (huge granite rock) The fort is situated on a hilltop at an altitude of 1700 feet above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding Kuduremukh hill range. The fort was built by the famous King Tipu Sultan in the 18th century to secure his kingdom from the British. The fort is named after his mother, Jamalbee.
Entry Fee: 50 Rs for Adults and 25 Rs for Children
Timings: 7 AM to 6PM. Overnight stay is prohibitted.
The fort is accessible through a steep climb of around 1.5 km, with a well-laid pathway. The trek is arduous but offers a beautiful view of the landscape. The road to the fort passes through dense forests, waterfalls, and rocky outcrops. There are steps and railings to help the visitors while climbing up the hill.
The fort has a well inside, which is the prime source of water for the visitors. The fort and the surrounding countryside have a rich history of war and valor, and many stories are associated with it. Jamalabad Fort is a must-visit for history lovers and trekking enthusiasts. The magnificent view from the hilltop, and the challenging trek make it an excellent destination for visitors.

I had been there twice once 1976 and 1988. First time We climbed within One hour. One Sage used to live there. Second time we climbed morning and came down evening. That time no one was there only some monkeys. There was well there dont know still existing. Your dhrone coverage fantastic. Thanks for this video. Great Adventure. 🙏🙏👌👌

Actually sir you went at the wrong time..... U should have waited till June end or early July..... I mean you would have waited for the early monsoon..... I just trekked Gadaikallu yesterday and the clouds, the rain, the wind, the freshness....... I just can't explain...... It was a total nature's show. Since you went in May Or June (correct me if I am wrong) you faced heat issues. When I trekked yesterday, the sunlight was coming and going also it was a little windy. I finished climbing in 1 and half hour. I waited half an hour for something to happen and then there was a full fledged nature's show. I don't know how to explain. Thank you for the video......

ನಾನು ಇದೇ ಊರಿನ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಊರಾದ ಪಡಂಗಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 30ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಎರಡೂವರೆ ವರ್ಷ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಇದರ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಓಡಾಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಲು ಆಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ನೋಡಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಖುಷಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು ಸಾರ್.
