He makes a beautiful move on the ball. Totally fluent and his power will only increase with age. Awesome player.
Who's here after his win in Texas?
Really like watching your swing bro, I’m a lefty too and it’s much easier to fix my swing by watching you versus a right handed swing. Keep killing it bro
You know that most of the people who know they want to play golf professionally go to college right? The ones who don't really miss out. The friendship, the competition, the travel, and college broadens you so you can enjoy all those things more.

Getting good at golf is a matter of repetition. Sure, some people have a higher ceiling than others, but anyone can become a decent golfer with a lot of practice. If you’re not an athlete, you will never be a good basketball player no matter how much you practice. “Harder” is a matter of opinion. Basketball requires a true athlete.
@charlierosynek3904

Royce Martin if your not an athlete your never gonna be a good golf player. If you have a horrible mindset your never gonna be good if your an athlete or not. Golf is in my mind (I play all three sports) the hardest game out of any sport. People will argue that it’s not a sport and it’s easy but anyone who was actually played it knows how hard it is to do well consistently.
@geromejohnnygranada
4 жыл бұрын
From a technical and mental standpoint golf is probably the hardest sport out there. From a physical standpoint golf has no bars to entry. Which means anyone can compete if they wanted. But only the athletes who are technically and mentally skilled will win at golf.
Hopefully, this boy will be a big name in golf. He has been amazingly good at his age. See you on tours soon.
I am privileged to have met Akshay at Heritage Golf Club in Wake Forest, NC as a young tike who was just learning the game of golf and how to play it under the tutelage of his Dad. Over time, what an "exasperating" thrill it became to watch him as a youngster outdistance my seasoned drives by 50 or more yards! I was equally impressed, amazed and maybe a bit demoralized by the ease with which he threw darts at virtually every pin he approached. I could just tell -- from soon after I met him and watched him practice and play that Akshay had all the right stuff! I just knew he was destined for greatness in the game of golf -- but only if he wanted that, set that goal and worked tirelessly to achieve that destiny. Like no other "kid" I've ever known or seen -- in any sport actually -- Akshay put his all into perfecting both the physical and mental elements of the game. He never lost focus, he never questioned his potential and he never missed an opportunity to practice. He also has never looked back...only forward to the next task, the next objective and the next goal. Lest there be doubt, Akshay had more than a little help -- especially from two amazing, loving and supportive parents and an All Star golf phenom sister...all of whom challenged, encouraged and helped him each and every day to work harder than anyone believed possible -- to become as great a golfer as he could dream possible. I love it when dreams come true! Congratulations Akshay! Carpe diem! Keep claiming those trophies. And oh by the way, I'm still looking for that autographed picture -- you know, for the guy who taught you more than anyone else what not to do in playing the game of golf! All the best to you and yours...always! Rick

The best golfer in the world with the best instructor in the world ... hard too beat !
Interested to see how his story develops. He's planning on skipping college, but there's still time to change his mind. I also think the video is a little short. Has AB ever had to struggle or face adversity in golf or life? I don't know his backstory, but it's going to be a rude awakening if he ever hits a slump. There's a lot to be learned from guys like Ty Tryon who burst onto the PGA Tour back in the day but had never really learned how to struggle. Seems like AB has a good support net though with GG and co. Wish the best to him on his journey.
i hope to see him on the top as #1. awesome how determined and dedicated he is.
He has a great swing, his putting stroke looks spot on everything looks right at less than 130 lbs it is incredible he can generate 120 MPH club head speed. When he fills out that is going higher. He just needs to keep on doing what he is doing and keep the attitude he has now with golf his no 1 priority and good results are inevitable. It is easier said than done and many cast iron certainties don't make it. Pro golf is tough but he looks like he could be one of those players that breaks through quickly. He has a great shot at achieving his goals he is without question one to watch.
128 lbs at 6ft I thought I was skinny but fair play hes a great player
Crazy how I watched this guy 2 years ago and now he is on the tour
Love it way to go bro your gonna have a great life hust stay grounded and keep doing what your doing
As a fellow golf amateur I respect the goal to be the best in the world because I’m in that same boat. Never met this guy but you have one of the best coaches in the country on speed dial which definitely is a benefit. I personally don’t see a fire in this guy could be personality or something but good luck and hope we cross paths in the future your not getting the title of best in the world that easy 😉
skipping college is maybe not the best decision for his progression and coaching, but who knows

If you want to take the island, burn the boat. Go for it! My brother was a top ranked junior and chose college over turning pro. Looking back now, I believe he should have turned pro at 18 and skipped college. It all worked out, he has been on the PGA tour for 5 years now. Hope to see you at a tour event, best of luck from Texas.
Go for it. Can always go to college later if you need or want to
Good luck. I did see him take a 7 yesterday at Valspar though.

Wow, that’s a big decision. (To skip college.). Especially for one from an Indian heritage for whom education is so important. Not sure I understand this decision in light of the fact that Tiger, Jack, and Phil didn’t skip. But I wish Akshay all the success in the world and hope his team keeps encouraging him through the ups and downs of golf life. All the best, Akshay.
