beam torsion modifier: torsion modifier 1 rekhe , analysis er por beam red color dekhay (fail show kore) and amra torsion er jnno rebar area pai and flexure er jnno alada rebar area pai .beam pass koranor jnno ami torsion modifier 0.001 na kore gradually for example 30%~70% release kori (0.3,0.7 or 0.8 evabe). then beam pass kore but torsion rebar area ager theke komne jay. usually ami jani j torsion er jnno jei rebar area pabo setai ki 3 vaag kore flexure rebar er sathe plus kore provide korte hoy. amar questyion hocche ami ki torsion modifier 1 dhore jei torsion rebar area peyechi seta provide korbo naki pore release korar por jeta peyechi seta dibo. thanks in advance.

Thanks for your question. Consider 30-70℅ Torsion and design. This is a good idea. It completely depends on you how much torsion you want to consider for your building.
What will be the torsion constant of Column? Is it 1 or 0.001 or 0.7. In your 4th video, you said it 0.7. Also, for beam supported slab, all property modifiers will be 1? However, your etabs series is really very helpful.

You can use 1 for service condition and 0.7 for ultimate condition for now. We may need to change these torsional constant later. It's complicated. To pass our column and beam we need to give an arbitrary try and change the value. Don't be so serious about this for now. There are a lot of checks and design steps. You'll understand slowly slowly.

@@CivilEngineeringTips You said earlier in a video that we should keep beam supported slab property modifiers close to zero. I think it will be good for ultimate condition. What will be slab property modifier for service condition? I have not enough idea.

assign properly. there is correct process to assign property modifiers. watch the previous tutorial-16 carefully. you can post screen shots to our facebook group. there you'll get answer more clearly.

Erokom hobe na. Correct properly. Then select Beam and Column and right click and check. This is the correct process to check.
