17 Galaxy 66 [017] [SCTV - Season 1]
These videos are in no way meant to replace the purchasing of commercially produced DVDs of SCTV. Making this series available is in no way meant to break copyright law. I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.

Another SCTV classic. Many of these skits could not be done today, as we have lost the ability to laugh at ourselves.
I'm 57 and going through some very tough times, Ive lost most of my family and friends and baby furry pets through death, this is soothing.
Looks like Tony Rosato as one of the torch bearers.

John Candy was a mawg on sctv before he played as Barf in Spaceballs (1987).
I believe this episode would be the first appearance of Edith Prickley.

Pretty sure it's John Phillips Souza: "Polka, Polka, Polka, 'til the Cows, Cows, Cows Come Home". The Schmenges did a great cover of that one a few years later.

Actually, the skit's "anti-Gringo" message is perfectly p.c. But today's p.c. police would probably miss that.
