I am using ty mawr products & its the dogs nuts . Ready mixed perfect . Renovating a 200 yr grade 2 listed lodge house previously been pointed over existing lime with cement . Been hard work but looking good .
A vidio on how to mix
Is the "lime putty" in the bag already mixed with sand ? Or is this pure lime putty being applied to the wall? I am mixing 3 parts of fine silica sand with mine, and it is not going on as well as this.
Is there a source for your products in the US? Or something you would recommend? Also, what is the difference between cob and lime?

Cob is an earthen brick-like product (mud/straw/etc) that is coated with lime render or plaster for protection. There are very few sources for lime putty products in the US, and those you can find are insanely expensive (10-20x the price in the UK or Italy). Only affordable option is to find fresh type-S lime and mix it to putty in 5 gallon buckets. Concrete sand is reasonable for scratch and brown coats for plaster.
