Love the hooping station hack
Love the clear vinyl and the tape stuff to wrap around vinyl rolls.

Omg the tape around the stabilizer rolls was worth watching the whole video!! I can use that for my vinyl too. There's a lot of great advice here. All my hobbies cost way too much money. Thank you!

Thank you for your positive feedback! Yes our hobbies are expensive so anywhere we can save it’s good.
Thanks for the ideas you can use the beige tape to wrap around your hoop to secure items or stabilize them. You can also write on the tape. In the automotive dept you can use a steering wheel cover to cover your hoop when you use spray adhesive.

Use a dollar tree toilet bowl brush to clean up your sewing area from those long threads that like to wrap around your vacuum cleaner roller. And you can sit while you do it,

Great hacks! I also use the hair clips to keep fabric back from the hoop (like when you are putting a design on the front of a small t-shirt).

Very smart! Thanks for sharing
These are genius! In less than 10 minutes, I learned so much. I love the face roller for pressing seams in the hoop. This is such a good idea for those “non textiles”, like cork, leather, etc., when I can’t use an iron.

Glad it was helpful! There are so many more things that I am going to have to create a third video. :)
This was the best D S hack ever!
These were great hacks. I’m limited on space n no drawers. So anything I can do - more organized is so helpful. Thanks Sookie

Mind-blowing ideas! Love it.
Okay, the Pidicure Flip-Flop thing through me for a loop. I will say though, that it's more convenience than less expensive. I get 1.6mm foam in 12 × 18 " sheets for just under $6. Still, that flip flop thing got me..

Sadly, pound shops in UK don't hold a very good selection of these things but I will keep looking, you never know!
For my embroidery thread, I use an old 18 count egg carton. But I am definitely going to get the gentel tape!!

You did blow my mind with this. I have a question though... does the foam piece have to be the same color of the thread that you're using for the 3D effect? Basically what I'm wondering is does some of the foam end up in the actual stitching? Thank you
@SookieSews
Жыл бұрын
Not exactly the same color but similar. If it does peak out you can try to stuff the foam under the stitching.
Great ideas..ingenious.😁

Hi Sue! Definitely getting a few rolls of the gentle tape! I'm currently using rubber bands to secure the industrial size rolls of stabilizer. Ever have a wide rubber band snap on you? The gentle tape will prevent that for sure! Ok, mind blown with the pedicure flip-flops! Thanks, Sue, for these fabulous hacks, tips and tricks! Love them!!

You can also by a piece of the thinnest clear vinyl sold in Walmart fabric depts. (good luck finding someone to cut it for you) lol or JoAnn’s , Hobby Lobby etc. small strips of this vinyl will cling to itself like Saran wrap.
@SookieSews
Жыл бұрын
Yes! I use to use that for my threads too. But you’re right about Walmart
You need to increase the density fir your 3D embroidery designs. So you can easily remove the foam afterwards... Just a little advice.. Embroidery you knows better. Thanks
Hello I just wanted to let you know, there is a new elastic thread from Germany it's called Saraflex I'm not sure if it's total use but you can wind it on the bobbin but you have to go slow while winding it or you will warp it.
@SookieSews

I do have it, it's from Mettler. I used it for one project and realized that very quickly.
I would like to know what kind of fabric pens to buy for embroidery touchups.
@SookieSews

I personally have used the fabric markers and good old fashion Sharpies
can you label the gentle tape and if so with what can you use to write with??
@SookieSews
2 жыл бұрын
Oh good idea. I usually skip the original paper cover with instructions and name inside the tube so I don’t need to keep it but you can sorta write in it but it’s not really neat.
Bravo girlfriend
