Is there a specific software your using? I work with the raspberry pi so I assume it would be relatively similar but your servo to Arduino seems fairly simple rather than tons of cords connected to the board for one servo

For batteries Im using 4 x 18650 Samsung 30Q. 2 battery holders to give 2 cells series and 2 cells parallel (7.2v @6000mAh) Theres a screw terminal on the board to attach the batteries, I used velcro to secure the battery holders into the body. I think if you buy the full kit everything might come with it but I bought a limited kit to save money

Please tell us which IC or chip have you used to control motors and please send me the code..........if you want to share the project share it with info details otherwise please don't side.........project you have done is osm superb
