While some individuals may join law enforcement with noble intentions, there is concern that a portion may have been motivated by negative experiences, either as bullies seeking to continue that behavior or as victims seeking revenge. The callous nature of the job, involving imprisonment and potentially ruining lives, raises questions about the motivations behind choosing such a profession.

But I can tell you this about that, if I were in a situation like that as a child I never was nor could I imagine ever being in a situation like that, I can promise you my father would turn and look at me and that would be the end of that! that child was out of control and those adults had no control over him. No doubt he was upset at seeing his father handcuffed but the adults in the room needed to rein him in.

People like you with that mindset that make laws are a big part of the reason it's getting so far out of control. 10 years old is old enough to be explained to them with a reasonable level of understanding what is going on, hiding or sugarcoating the truth is more destructive to that child because if he's not aware of the reason why then all he's gonna remember is "the cops took my dad away and roughed me up", a good formula for the creation of a criminal.

As someone who has been through both sides of things you guys must not understand nor have you ever been in trouble or seen families where they don't teach their kids any respect for authority or police The reason he has to tell the women to back off is because any of them could have a gun on them I know women that put guns in their bra there's not always a 9 mm there's small guns and not to mention they could have attract the offices what people don't understand is that the cop has to control the situation otherwise everybody is in danger when it comes to your feelings they should have got their kid inside like any other family would have done in that situation especially if they were acting out like that can you tell them you don't talk like that but that little boy probably got a lesson that saves his life but you people wouldn't understand that did you see the respect that came out of him after he saw the officer wasn't going to let him flex on him. This ain't the days of when kids cried and scream cuz your parents those arrested They learn watching the parent react when they think making the act that way this child will have a long future and have a chance at life a happy life because he was taught something Yes that may have been scary in some way but the vigor picture is he learned your actions have consequences that is the best lesson to learn in this world today

3:29 That's not what happened. The video was broken down by an ex-cop, I'm sorry I can't remember which one at the moment. What happened was the kid came at the cops legs and tried to kick him, the cop did have to grab a hold of him to get him to chill. The kid was then twisting around and actually did kinda kicking flail flip thing and ran up the side of the car with his feet. Then the cop did kinda lean him forward over the car to regain control so the kid wasn't hurt. However he didn't slam the kids head on the car. If you slow it down and look you can see the kids feet run up the side of the car. Take a look and tell me what you see.

I agree with you, as a parent. Kids sometimes act up regardless of how they're raised. Over here in the U.K. social services can get involved if you raise your voice to your child, put them on a naughty step etc. It is getting harder and harder to teach children that actions have consequences when theres always the looming risk of losing your children or fscing jail time for punishing your child.@Neanderthal_3945

That's a bunch of BS. I've been the victim of racial discrimination from police officers, fact I've gotten the living shit kicked out of me for shooting my mouth off but more importantly for being black. I mean eyes beat black and blue so they were shut lips swell, beat from my head to my toes. So I know from where I speak, that was not this. There may have been some officers in that crowd who were more than happy to abuse black folks, but none of them handled that little boy, that little boy was out of control! I don't know what the hell you're talking about and frankly neither do you. In life I don't know if you've ever heard the story about the boy who cried wolf, when black folks over and over and over again cry racism and discrimination when it doesn't exist, it diminishes our voices when it actually does exist which is plentiful. If you don't have anything intelligent to say then shut the hell up!🤬

the mother couldn't control her son - what were they supposed to do? allow the kid to flip out and obstruct the arrest and cause a scene? gee, wonder where allowing a ten-year-old to act like that would lead to... definitely an asset to society. outside of that one of the officers should have taken the kid aside and talked to him, along with his father, to reassure him. but, parenting and counseling isn't the job of the police.

46:50 if youre a cop im gonna save your ass right now.. If someone in your custody ever asks for water the asnwer is NEVER gonna be no. You can say yes i will get you water in couple minutes but to say NO makes it an open and shut case even if there was a crime. Saying No, to a request of water from someone is your custody is in fact a violation of their civil liberties. You cannot deny such a basic human need. Any good lawyer will not only win the case but might have you disciplined and demoted to desk duty

Stupid mother of the first kid should have taken him inside instead of standing around doing nothing. There were enough people who could have relayed information back to her. What a child need to see that for?and that officer could have displayed some compassion and arrested the dad on the DL.

Ok........first thing first, never take and slam a child on a hard floor, but head bounce off his squad car, and threaten em. But, then again, a child should know better than that. Instead, he decided for himself in a man's position, and got a wake up reality call (sort of speak) DAMN!! Let that be a lesson to never run up to an officer like that. He shouldn't have to drag him and slam him like that. My opinion

Yema boutique will likely get broken into and looted now. The police will not be in a hurry to protect that store anymore. That police officer didn't do anything wrong. Yema, the owner, was unnecessarily confrontational from the moment he opened the door. He screwed up when he did that. From outside the store in that light, you can not tell what color the people inside are. But let's say you can. The cop was doing his job. He did nothing to show any type of racial profiling. It was a simple check, and that Yema guy made it an issue. If I were a cop in that town, I wouldn't care if that store got robbed.
