Amazing content. I’m watching this video 7 months after posting so hopefully that means the next layer has already joined the family or will be here any day. Either way congratulations!! Unfortunately I’m not able to join the patreon at the moment, but hopefully this comment and like helps a tiny bit. Keep doing what you’re doing and great things will continue to happen. God Bless!

For the piggy bank, I drop this in mesh mixer and put a letter on the belly (first letter of kid’s name) as a customization. The kids really like that. Although you can’t have a spare stock ahead of time with that method.

Nice! I haven't tried MeshMixer, does it make it pretty easy?

  • @jdl3408

@@thenextlayer I was wrong... I tried in Mesh Mixer but failed, I think because it was the first time I used it. (There is no way to directly make letters in mesh mixer. I will try again because I think I know the right way to do it now.) I ended up using Tinkercad. That was super easy but I lost a lot of the nice fidelity in that model. It came out a bit "low poly". I think the easy but correct workflow would be to generate a STL of the letter in Tinkercad (or whatever) and then combine to two STLs in mesh mixer. This would preserve the fidelity.

Actually a little note regarding lost Lego pieces, I'm pretty sure Lego do offer a free service or something where they'll send you a missing piece or something

I would love to see how to use s open scad. Furthermore I would like to know what it is and it’s capabilities. As a newcomer to the 3d printer, I am hooked on your channel. I have learned a lot from the information you provide. Thank you for your dedication to this industry and your honest approach. There are a lot of people making video content, however, most of it has been very repetitive. I hope this is something you will not lose joy over talking about. On another note, I love your country. I have visited twice and the wife and I have enjoyed both visits entirely.
