Yeah, because the Chinese government is going to track down two random people on this platform, on this specific video, find this specific thread, then somehow, even though the original comments disclosed 0 PII or PERSEC information, find their family members that may or may not be in the military at all, let alone in the 160th as far as anyone else knows.

We lucked and got to use these guys for a insert thingy we needed. They showed up the day before for the brief, did a time hack and we briefed them. Told them we'll start noon tomorrow. 1130 next day, we started moving our gear to the pad to be ready when they showed up. Up until now every air asset we had was always LATE.... I'm not talking a couple mins either. 1150, started checking the horizon, nothing. 1155, still nothing. Couple guys started to get up and wonder back inside thinking we have another 30 mins before they get here. 1159 I started to get up, I took one good look around and nothing. 1159'40" they came outta nowhere over our compound, did a hard bank, and no shit their wheels were on the ground at 1200. These guys are good! We got a E ticket ride that day.

It was always a pleasure to watch them in action. They can unload a Little Bird off a C5 and snap it together and be airborne in well under 5 minutes! Pretty amazing.

I got to build UH60m Blackhawks for these badasses when I worked at Sikorsky aircraft in Stratford CT. A true honor. That was where I met Keni Thomas who fought in the battle of Mogadishu. Being that im former Navy who spent some time there in 93 prior to that whole debacle, it was quite awesome. He told me these dudes were so badass they were literally flying their little birds into alleyways so narrow there was about a foot of space between the buildings and the rotors!! I've said it before, I'll say it again....there isn't a damn country in the world that will whip your ass more efficiently than the US.

Back in the mid/late 80's in the Ranger Batt, airfield seizures used to be the big thing and little birds (and 160th) used to play a big part of that. Nothing like flying on a 8x2 on the outside of a little bird putting rounds out as you come into an objective. I never saw them ever put skids on the ground...they would just flair in, hover about a foot off the ground and you bailed...it was that quick. I remember during a live fire exercise coming to an objective being hit with artty rds and we landed while dirt clogs were still falling back to earth that's how on top of things these guys were. Best pilots in the world...and just super nice guys in general.

My husband is a Major in 160th SOAR and he is absolutely superhuman. He is unshakeable. It could be the apocalypse and he would not emotionally respond. He is an analytical aeronautical logistician. He is a jump master, rigger… he’s the spartan that kicks your ass out the door from extremely brutal conditions. He can sleep buried in snow. He broke his neck and the pain does not phase him. I am a Neuroscientist who was his tutor and we met at Texas A&M in 2007. His voice is deeper than corpse husband and people have thought he was corpse.

In 1993 I was doing a job for Unisys at NASA Langley. At the end of the day I walked across the highway to the nearby mall to find a place for a cocktail. I had just stepped on to the mall parking lot when something made me look up to my right. Hovering over the edge of the mall parking lot was a helicopter I didn't recognize (I now know it was a Blackhawk) at no more than five or six hundred feet above the ground. It was huge and just hanging there in the twilight. I stood in awe as I watched this chopper -- it was completely silent -- I mean no sound at all. It hovered for a minute or two and then silently flew away. NASA Langley and the Langley Air Force Base are adjacent to each other and I always assumed I saw some classified prototype. I'll never forget it.

Thanks for this great video....do you have the full video and audio comms from 2:36-3:09? It's an unbelievable clip where you can hear the apache pilots watching this all going crazy, talking about how amazing the nightstalkers flying was and laughing. Been looking for that full clip for ever. (without thi other guys loud silly narration over it that screws up the original comms) also if you are familiar with that operation please inform what/where it was since it is clearly released and not really classified anymore. (if i am wrong though, please disregard the request) Thank you!

you should never be jealous of anyone in life but rather be disappointed in your own personal effort to achieve greatness, and never cut anybody down as every time you do you are only lowering the bar of standards you set yourself and the more you do it the more you will find yourself at the bottom of the barrel.

Remember its ok to fail as long as you learn from it, if your not dead you haven't failed, as that failure is only psychological. Just don't let it develop into a mental ailment called learned helplessness. Don't let the failure beat you and define you.
