@@jasonritter2492 The ls stuff is just so cheap and good, not to mention a lot of aftermarket support because of that. Although more and more coyotes are showing up. Gen 2s and 3s long blocks can handle 1k or more HP, not bad for a 5 liter. At the end of the day I put Fords in my Fords, I know it costs extra but that's how I do it. It's not a Ford superiority thing, if it was the other way I'd still do the same thing. Just keeps the character

I have always had a soft spot for the Ford Windsor as my first car back in 1973 was a used 1970 Mach 1 with the 351 Windsor. Never dreamed back then that a Windsor could make this kind of power. It was an entry level engine (250 gross HP) and was considered by hot rodders to be a ‘truck engine’ not worthy of modifying.

I’ve got a 9.5 Dart Iron Eagle block stuffed with a 4.185 bore 468ci rotating assembly, made real good power on spray but I’ve changed the heads to a set of SBF Hemi heads from Hammer Heads and putting a set of 78/76 twins on it. Bad Ass 6.0 Powerstroke youst to be into CLEVELAND engines to, Hell, Ernie Elliot NASCARS Bill Elliots brother opened the secrets to the CLEVELAND and showed the world what real power is lol I just don’t like the thin cylinder walls, can’t bore the stock blocks much but you sure can’t beat a CLEVELAND head, that’s a fact💯 go to google type in Hemi heads SBF & you’ll find them. See I was in to BBF stuff because of Bob Glidden and Jon Kaase. My dad is friends with an old IHRA prostock champion from the 80s and he put us in direct contact with Kaase and we did well with his P51 heads but I got into Turbos and big cubic inch Small blocks so Kaase hooked me up with a x-employee who happened to design his own head and that’s the Hammer Head. Check out the pump gas 427 sbf.

@@jamiemuncy2219 Yes i agree about the Cleveland Blocks. One reason why i went to a 460 Stroked Engine, Blocks alot stronger, along with a Good Forged Rotating Assy. I'm a Big Time Bob Glidden fan, #1 Drag Racer in my Book. And Jon Kaase is a genius, I'm running Trickflow Heads now but I'm really liking the Kaase SR-71 Heads. Jon is a Ford Mastermind. I'm planning in the near future to do a Large Single Turbo on my 521 really liking the Garrett GTX5544R Turbos, just deciding either 102mm and 106mm I was raised in a big FORD Family, believe i was conceived in a 65 Mustang Fast Back, my father had a few 65-66 Fast Backs growing up. Actually got a 67 Fast Back with a 1969 351 Windsor Engine, AFR 185,s and a few other mild stuff, mainly a cruiser. Yeah i totally agree with you on Glidden and Kaase being Ford Legends, Two of the best ever. Saw those Hemi Hammer Heads, look pretty impressive, as soon as i saw the valve covers, first thing that popped in my head was the Boss 429. Kaase got some nice Boss Heads he's doing. Good Luck with your Engine, sounds like you got some serious stuff. I remember when the P-51 heads were first coming out, was gonna buy them but they were little behind on producing them and i went with Trickflow Heads. Really wanted his tho, but now he got the SR-71 Heads, and thats what i really want now. Either gonna have some work done to my Trickflow Heads when i do the Single Turbo, or would really like to get his SR-71 Heads.
