Totally agree. I do not answer the door after sundown or even peek out the window unless I am expecting a visitor but I’ll always verify who it is until I answer the door. During the day I will look out a window but if I don’t recognize the person I don’t answer the door then either.

He imagined 6ft raging black man, when it was actually a 5ft8in 16 year old boy

He went to other houses for help but didn't get any. A man saw him lying in the middle of the street so he went to help him until the ambulance came. Such a tragic story. Stay safe Lamont. I'm glad you didn't go to the door. You probably would have been met with silence but in this day and age you never know.

Sad, people don't want to get themselves involved. There's so much going on many people are living with mental health illness and aren't receiving help they lock themselves in there homes. You can't be the hero any longer without given thought that your life may be in danger for helping. Lots of people don't get involved just because period. These are different times to be honest do you feel safe ? Each time I'm in a store my eyes are always looking for exits . The anxiety of having to be in flight mode isn't healthy. But , kids are bringing guns to sweet sixteen birthday party's and killing everyone there because of a disagreement! Just yesterday a man was playing basketball with his daughter the ball rolled onto his neighbors yard, he runs over to get it and he's being shot at along with his little 6 year old daughter. Everyone is entitled this Country is nuts and I don't see it getting better. I just hope Lamont is careful is really not safe any longer . Kind of reminds me of that stupid horror movie my nephews had been watching called " Purge " of course it had been just a movie however, people now shooting at one another for the sake of the Law saying they can is kind of just like that horror flick. Be safe everyone.. Such a tragedy. ❤

I live on 56th Terrace. My neighbor at 56th Street is a super neat black guy. We get each others mail and always make sure to get it to the right house. This story really broke my heart.

This is so sad, you never know how people will escalate a simple situation. I went for a walk with my wife in a local cemetery today, and a elderly man sped around to cut us off from our car. Apparently I had caused him to have to drive a few extra rows because his truck was to big to turn, and he wanted an apology from me for it. I legit for a second thought it might escalate to violence he was so angry. You just never know sometimes if someone isn't all there.

Shot through the door. Glass was replaced the next day by his buddy. The news caught the replacement on video. Can't remember if it was channel 4 or 9.

The world has gone insane. There was a story last week of a teenager that mistakingly tried to open the car door of a car that was just like hers in a shopping center. There was a guy sitting in the car, he got out & shot her. So sad & scary.😢

An 85 year old man living alone and he is armed ? That is asking for trouble. He may think the world is out to get him. He has a lot of time to daydream……. If he has family and they let him live alone ( with his gun ), they should be ashamed. It’s a time bomb………Amazon delivers to 8 or 9 PM in some places meaning it’s a great thing he hasn’t already shot someone. What kind of person opens a door and shoot someone without asking them what they want. Who does that? And what burgler would knock or bang on a door before breaking in? That man had a glass door, he saw the young boy was black, he didn't hesitate. I'm British, here in the UK, I can't understand it. I just don't get it. He watched Fox News all day you say? A lot of questions these days. Why would a man shoot a six year old girl for retrieving her ball that rolled into his yard? Why would a man shoot up a car that drove into his driveway, when that driver realized his mistake and was backing out? BTW, that one killed a 20 year old passenger but has received only a fraction of the media coverage this one has. And we all know why. Both the little girl and young woman were white.

Sadly, that's been happening quite a bit lately, young people accidentally going to the wrong place and getting shot at. In New York, a 20 year old girl was shot and killed when she pulled into the wrong driveway and a high school girl in Texas was shot when she approached the wrong car late at night. So sad and scary. Gotta be careful out there. I've made that mistake before going to the wrong house and I'm thankful it wasn't some murderous person I went to.

A horrible case! Not only was the boy a talented musician, but he was also an honors student --- doing very well academically. He was a well-mannered and disciplined child who was considered more of a 'nerd'. I hope and pray he will fully recover, with no cognitive damage.

Believe it or not but I actually had said almost the same exact thing on another KZreadr's video regarding calling the police/911 and a few people actually said no because the kid hadn't done anything/would've been the worst option. No matter where I live, calling 911 will be my first option especially if I lived alone because you just never know.

I think I read that this guy (the shooter not the young man that got shot) suffered from dementia. I think it’s safe to say that the people that should be punished, for this would be whoever allowed him to keep a gun whether that be his family members, or maybe even healthcare workers that were supposed to be taking care of him.

Keep it simple people. If someone comes knocking at your door by mistake, just tell them your address... I just had this happen to me a guy mistakenly had the wrong address (he was a contractor). It happens all the time and no one was shot.

This case is beyond heartbreaking and disturbing.

We can blame this on the MSM, they have people petrified. Prayers for this young man 🙏🙏🙏

I wasn’t aware of this incident at all. However, I would have guessed that it involved a very elderly individual. I would have been correct. This is not uncommon. So unfortunate. Poor young man. I’m always afraid of putting weapons in the hands of the elderly. I can say that as I am a senior. Older men especially are prone to react in this way. In my experience, burglars don’t generally knock. I right minded individual would not have opened the door. I wouldn’t have.

I'm in Australia and I have heard about this and it make me sick to the stomach.

The evil that people do to others is horrific. Not a half bad looking house but I did notice that there are no sidewalks.

He shot him through the outer glass door, I watched a news clip where they attempted to talk to a guy the next day who was there replacing the door.

OMG, these recent similar shooting incidents are crazy!! my car broke down once and I was walking to a nearby neighborhood asking for help. This guy went out of his way and helped me in very possible way, including using his own car and drive me an hour away back to my girlfriend’s place.

There have been multiple confrontations lately (3) as a result of someone making a mistake. They've involved shootings and one death . Just recently, a family and their 6 y/o child were shot at because a basketball the kids were playing with rolled into a neighbor's yard. The father tried to physically shield his child, he is in the hospital as a result. Just utter craziness! Please do be careful, Lamont, I love your channel but I do worry for your safety because the atmosphere out there is just becoming so unpredictable and chaotic. I think a lot of you and what you do for a living could be so misinterpreted when things have deteriorated like this. Praying for your protection. ❤️

There’s this 10 year old boy that got punch in the head multiple times by a 14-year old at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline and killed him. This just happened a month ago in my home town. This is such a tragedy. I think the property owner has dementia. He looks like he is lost. There's so many signs that dementias patients portray that families just ignore until it's too late.
