I think you are the only person on YT to actually focus on the fabrication and prep rather than welds. That's very important. The prep can and is more valuable than just arc shot after arc shot. Thank you!

This would almost always be a two man job in the United States. I'm impressed with how much you are able to accomplish by yourself. What country are you from, and is it common to build a fabrication like this by yourself? You are a true hand, and I appreciate your videos.

I have analyzed your setup for rotation of pipe and support of pipe. They are spot on. I have seen many welders thst can't get a good root like you did even with TIG. Excellent job. It would be a pleasure to burn some wire with you. Stay safe.

I really enjoy watching your videos. I can watch em all day long. Makes me want to get back out there on the road and run some pipe. IDK who the fuck complains about your welding, they really should just shut up. You understand how to weld and do a great job. Your fab skills are top notch too. They didn't have youtube back in the day so learning this stuff was done in the field or in the shop via experience. Now this offers opportunity for perspective, increasing the learning rate without the time taken under normal circumstances. Also we can watch at 1.5 times to speed things up even more. Its nice your employer doesn't mind you making a side hustle with the camera. I almost lost a job once simply cause I snuck a camera in and was caught taking a picture of the turbine deck. Some plants take that as espionage or some shit. Which I guess I can understand. Keep it up man! Glad you got a nice outfit and work in a safe environment. No one gets hurt mentality is helpful cause those who enjoy it want to return the next day to continue the fun! Cheers mate! Question: Do you do any tig welding? 6g 2" sch 180 heavywall, 6g 10" sch 80? shit like that? Walk the cup? Precise fit and welds for high pressure application, such as boilers, turbine generators, refineries, pressure vessels... etc? Continue to challenge yourself with learning new welding methods and technologies too. Every spray arc or arc gouge? Hexavalent chrome, inconel, titanium, stainless? be safe

Very well done, without manipulation and a crane you did it all in the right order, only thing I'd have done differently is tack up and root with 0.8 mm bare arsed wire and then use 1.2 flux cored. Those large fittings never line up properly,as long as you get them looking even on the inside jobs a good en. All my pipework has to be smooth and crevice free on the inside so I have to grind flush all the welds internally . Vids are getting better, just right content not too long. 👍👍👍

Nice setup mate.I spent all my early years as a boilermaker climbing and crawling around welding everthing in position and only within the last 2 years have I found myself in a nice workshop that prefers us setting up our jobs in a way that prioritises ease of welding. We have it easy now hahaha. Great work by the way, it's refreshing to see actual fabrication work on youtube.

  • @uncleputes

Just gotta be persistent and dedicated to securing work, then putting in 110% when you do find work to let them know you are all about improving and not there to fuck around. Beginning is always the hardest part but everyone has to start from somewhere and it only gets easier from there on. My only real advice between jobs would be to not stop welding, when you can/if you can, accquire enough gear to be able to practice at home and that way you can also do little cash jobs on the side.
