'16 Ford Expedition Driver Window Regulator

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I swap out the power window regulator on this customers 2016 Ford Expedition. First time doing one of these myself so there was a small learning curve. Most of which could have been avoided by reading service data haha.

Cervical Radiculitis. A nerve in your neck is being pinched by a bulging disc, arthritis, etc… it’s from heavy lifting, twisting, turning in strange positions under the hood or dashboard or under a gas tank etc… Advil along with Tylenol and rest , maybe a topical muscle massage. If it is happening quite often, a visit to your Doctor where a physical exam with C-spine Xray, CT and MRI will give you the diagnosis quickly. 41 years as a Radiologic Technologist with 34 years of MRI experience here. Be careful, you don’t mess with symptoms like this.!! Thanks for the great video. How I hate taking off door panels and changing window regulators!!

About a decade ago I used polyurethane glass adhesive to reattach the plastic window tabs to the front passenger window on a 2006 Sienna. Still driving it in 2024 (396,000 kms) and the window remains connected. I live in Ontario, Canada so no gentle weather conditions either. It worked for me and would suggest it's worth a try before buying a new window.

A few years ago the rear window on my 2011 BMW 328 fell down a few inches and wouldn't roll back up right before I was about to move and drive from Colorado to the east coast. Bought a windshield phone mount and suctioned it on the window such that it kept pressure on the top of the door panel to hold it up and closed until I got where I was going. Once I got there I ordered a new regulator and was able to switch it out in about 20-30 minutes, 10 of which were spent just getting the glass to seat into the clips correctly. Surprises me that I was able to do it in half the time of Mr. O, on a BMW, not being a mechanic.

I went back to repair shop(small shop) and found guy who worked on my car. He was very happy that I brought them back. He'd been looking for days. Wasn't sure where they were. Glad to see the problems I have with these (as a home wrench) are fairly universal. As I was watching I was thinking the only difference with a pro is there is no blood. Then there was blood.

I have a 65 Chevelle hardtop and the door glass has bolts that go through the glass with nylon grommets and threaded washers! Scarey! but they work!

I'll be 76 this year, retired 8 years ago today, no April Fools joke. Ya, Mr. O, as my Mom said when I was younger and mentioned a pain, "You've only just begun!" I still do vehicle work at home, yard work, "some" house and appliance repair. But you must keep active once you get in your 60's and 70's, otherwise......well, it's not good! Chiropractic and my Bowflex are two of several things that have helped me get this far. That vehicle looks to be the most complete window regulator assembly I've seen. Good work Mr. O!

I have about 10 years on ya and started wrenching in a salvage yard at 15, had a similar issue in my paws about two years back and don’t have the option to not work, tried everything from pills to acupuncture and finally after extensive blood tests a specialist said my testosterone levels should be higher and now with an injection every three days all the issues are gone and I’m stronger now than in my thirties.

Well this is the best part of not being able to sleep. I just turn on the TV on and BAM another episode of South Main Auto, the MAGICIAN. Work your magic!

Some years ago, I had that zap feeling in my forearm. It turned out to be a pinched nerve in my spine. Eventually I couldn’t open my pinky, ring finger and index fingers. Had to have spine surgery to remove the bone spur inside the vertebrae. Took about a year to get motion back in those fingers. All’s good now.
