Also!! You may need to change your shampoo because hair can change with hormones! My hair turned curly after I gave birth and now that I'm perimenopausal the texture of my hair is changing AGAIN.

Yes! That is a fact! Your hair texture may change during life stages like child birth or your hair turning gray. You are correct. In that case, we can swap out shampoos and conditioners to be right for that hair texture. I was referring to just changing out throughout the year, but yes missed that part of changing throughout life! Thank you for flagging!

I had the most gorgeous loose curls when I was pregnant, but it went back to straight after giving birth.
Can’t get over how much JVN is slaying in this video ✨ would love to see a nighttime hair routine video in the future 😴
As a full fledged member of the thin/fine hair club I was totally guilty of not conditioning. I felt like it weighted my hair down and made it oily that much faster. I recently decided to give JVN products a try and I have to admit that I've totally been converted. Shampoo, Conditioner and Air Dry cream are now part of my regular routine and I couldn't be more happy with the results.
The best thing I've learned from you is that my hair needs MUCH more moisture than I thought. I only shampoo my hair 2-3 times a week, but once I started using JVN shampoo & conditioner, I condition EVERY DAY, and my hair is lux. I also spray a little JVN conditioner mixed with water into my ends outside the shower, and use your scalp oil and shine drops. My hair looks twice as thick, curls like a dream, and looks better between shampoos.
OMG- since watching this video, I have started sleeping with my hair in a loose top knot with a silk scrunchie, and it’s made a world of difference! I had no idea how much my body heat was frying my ends. They’re so much silkier and healthier looking now. Thanks!
Your hair education is SO good and so approachable. Thank you, JVN!
The amount of knowledge & pure joy I get from Jvn in these videos is big time facts
Just popped in to say how GORGEOUS you look in this video, JVN! Loving the look! Also the tips are always great. I’ve learned SO much from you!
Love all the JVN products! Please don’t ever stop making them!
My favorite thing about this whole video is you absolutely gassing yourself in the beginning 😂❤ Most popular hair/skin YT creators start by apologizing about what a mess they look today. You were like, is it even legal to look this hot? I totally loved it. Video content was educational and fun as well, of course.
Was listening to it at first while removing my make up and thought, omg, I always love your short and sweet eductional contents - and then I look into the screen oh wow, how gorgeous you look! Way to go, brain and looks! ❤❤

Hi Jonathan! Love your videos. Have you ever considered giving advice for black men’s/ extra curly men’s hair? I’m sure they aren’t your target audience, but for guys like me, who watch your videos with their wives, it would be really cool to get some stuff we could apply on ourselves. Keep up the great work!

I would love to see a video on tips & techniques for styling hair with female pattern hair loss. There are tons of videos out there on products that might help with hair regrowth or creating the illusion of more density, but very few videos on how to get the most out of what little hair I currently have. ☹ Help me, JVN. You're my only hope!
Thank you for this knowledge! Not only the hair fact v cap...but now I know what my teenager means when they are yelling "CAP" during video game play.
You look so good Jonathan! #goals
I bought a satin head wrap "towel" from Kitsch and am in LOVE. It is the only thing I use on my hair after washing it now. It is super comfortable and absorbent, and nice in the winter when it is cooler in my condo. I usually wear it for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour after a shower. When I take it off my hair is still damp, but dry enough to style. Love satin products for the hair!
JONATHAN VAN NESS!!! the eyeshadow look is doing EVERYTHING!!!
I learned all the things! That color is absolutely gorgeous on you! I'm 45 and I put my hair in a loose top bun a lot. #GibsonGirl. Could you maybe do a video on caring for middle age hair? All the best and brightest to you! ❤️

Thank you I learned a lot. Gonna have to go to Sephora and get your scalp oil cause winter/dry season is coming !
Love this, thank you! Especially the part about the rats chewing on the ends 😂
I bought JVN shampoo and conditioner before even knowing anything about JVN. One of the BEST decisions I have ever made. My hair hasn’t been this beautiful and manageable is YEARS. thank you JVN for being so knowledgeable
I may also add that greasy hair need conditioner also just finding the right product for your hair is the key! And also ammout and placement (mids & ends) of product is crucial too!

I kept watching all these natural KZreadrs with coconut oil. I tried it and it literally made my hair feel like straw, my mother is very much in love with coconut oil. How do I tell her she’s wrong 😭🤣. What are your thoughts on selsun medicated shampoo for someone with alopecia? Thank you for the content Johnathan! You always deliver, much love ❤️❤️
Omg THANK YOU for debunking the coconut oil myth. So many friends told me to use coconut oil as a moisturizer last winter when my hands were sooooo dry. 🌵 I rubbed coconut oil on my poor hands for dayyyyyyyyys and I swear it was making my skin worse? Make sense that to me that would not be moisturizing for hair as well. 😭 Maybe I’m wrong but that was my experience.

I wonder if that’s what’s happened with me too? I never used it regularly, maybe because I felt like it wasn’t soaking in fast enough so it annoyed me? The best use I got out of it was to put it along my hair line when I colored my hair to help keep me from dyeing my skin!
@moonmedicineyoga

@@bitchenboutique6953 totally. It kinda sits on my skin and maybe feels like it’s going to hydrate it, but doesn’t. It’s like it never really absorbs. As soon as I wash my hands, they’re drier than ever. Still on the hunt for a beautiful natural moisturizer without too many additives. JVN?!? 😂😂

How do you feel about shampoos with coconut oil as the main ingredient? I use Calia and it makes my hair so soft/clean, but worried it may be doing secret damage through build up etc!
My hair is baby fine and wavy. Love JVN Crème and Shine Drops. But for scrunch blow dry, need a hair spray (for hold) that won’t kill the effects of the Shine Drops. Don’t see one in your JVN collection. Help!
