    One piece of advice I would have for anyone in competition especially in SQ but for SPL as well is to bring some windex or a spray botlle of water, & some micro fiber rags/towels, & spray into the rag or towel then wipe down all of your amps, subs, enclosures, dashboards, doors, & also wash you vehicle the morning of or day before. Yes the wireing shows you have alot of pride in your build, but take it a step further, & clean the vehicle, wipe everything down. So many times I have seen at car shows dirty, dusty builds that are very nice, but hella dusty.

  • @eatsleepbassrepeat

    @eatsleepbassrepeat

    This one looks great compared to mine, I have a straight work truck that goes through the mud (I live in a dirt road), and then goes and competes. But for sure, this build is near flawless and isn’t subjected to the abuse I dish to mine, so potentially this car could be even that much cleaner.

    you mean replace the song, or I give them the song to play? kind of hard with what everyone chooses to demo with their own music@@jk-xe5em

    Except at the end when he does that death run at 20hz for 1min straight at 20hz... it was pretty gnarly.

    Totally get that, you may want to switch into a more responsive subwoofer. one of my systems runs JBL pro audio 18" subwoofers and sounds identical to a live concert, because the speakers are the same as they use.

    I always heard that class A B amplifiers were good but recently ive been looking into things and have seen a lot about them not being very efficient? I used to run a class D monoblock Skar rp1500.1dm marine amplifier and it's very efficient upwards of I believe 83%? Don't quote me but I believe its something like that but it was about $200 and it hammered the piss out of my 18 inch zvx and was very clean sounding bass. The amp never ever got hot or the sub either pounding it for an hour easily most times imy voltage never dropped below 13.2 at the most with stock 90 amp alt, zero gauge sky high car audio power and ground and a 10 farad planet audio cap. I have a single 15 inch sundown s.a classic just built a sealed 5 cubic ft box 1 inch thick solid oak for the sub and it pounds pretty good but im using a buddied memphis audio amp that is just not up to par but I'm getting myself another rp1500.1dm skar amp until I sell this sub and box and going to grab another 18 zvx and soon when I have the cash I'm getting a second 18 zvx going to run 1 skar rp1500.1dm to each sub at 1 ohm and it will b nasty in my 05 status. Going to make an 8 cubic ft ported enclosure with 2 12 inch flared airports it will make the ladies cream

    Class A/B is not as efficient as class D but has higher sound quality. It’s a trade off.
