The older lady that comes in saying they only came in because there ‘was free grub about’ is my maternal grandmother! Gwen Harris 👍🏻👍🏻

What is heart warming is that special community care among the residents. They might dislike one another at times, but at times like this, they unite. Just great!

such a beautifully done pair of episodes so natural.
I love Bobby Caldwell
Fred Gee definitely married above his class.
Ken: I'm going to have a stiff one. Gail gives him a cheeky smirk.
Coming back to the Street 40 plus years later, I'm amazed at the brilliant actors and how tounge and cheek every act is. No wonder it was so adorable and addictive it was back then.
And that was likely the last time anyone ever heard Ken say, "I'm having a stiff one ".

While buying drinks for two teenaged girls...
i use to love that outdoor version of the brick built set, even though it wasn't the size of a real of houses, also loved the gap in the row of houses and the park bench in the gap where no.7 once stood, made the street unique. Books about 'Coronation St' wrote that the fire engines dwarfed the row of houses.
Love the way they care for each other.
"If that place gets wrecked I hope they don't build anything else there. First Val and now this."
Gorgeous baby cat
Imagine if Gail and Ken had hooked up......sliding doors.... Interestingly all Ken's wives have died as have all Gail's husbands. All those lives that would have been saved had they only married back then.

😂 you're right. I love seeing the parallel dynamics today. Gail has become more and more like Ivy. Leanne vs Carla have always reminded me of Hilda vs Elsie.
So Edna (and someone else) are dead, Fred’s widowed, and Annie’s angry because ( like everyone else) she can’t go home.
How in the world can Hilda go out in public with curlers in her hair??! 🤣😂
Minnie has fallen asleep sitting at the table as the end credits roll, but awakes with a start at the last second, lol.
Ken was right, a very unlucky side of the Street, Val now this.....then Ernest being shot, then how many more? Alf Roberts, heart attack in Gail's house, Maxine Peacock at No 4, Charlie Stubbs, Karla Barowicz falling at Underworld, Tony Gordon in a fire in Underworld, Frank Foster killed at Underworld, Callum Logan hit over the head by Kylie Platt, Rana Habeeb at Underworld and probably a few more I left out.

There this coronation Street commercial , about sister and parents growing up watching coronation Street, and the same time each week, the one of them passed away . and it says I only watch it now that how special it is watching the characters grow in front of you and new generation watch it still, with classic coronation Street and coronation Street to remind them
