I love your melody- I'll admit when it started I wasn't even looking- just doing something else- and for maybe one second (or less) I thought it was going to be some boring Hollywood-esque type tune, something playing in the background of some "Driving Miss Daisy" imitation's opening credits- then that A-natural really made me do a double take! I had to go back and listen again- it sounded like some sort of cross relation or dissonance with the left hand! And there's something about the cross relations and altered scale tones, and the sort of twisted contour of the tune that make it very engaging and unique- the closing cadence's chord with no 3rd but an F in its stead is just the icing on the subverted expectation cake. My kind of tune! Well done.

That sounds cool , i am wondering if there is any notation software would vary the rhythms as you did or at least some of them. Thanks for sharing

Great video and techniques, but I would've appreciated a bar of silence between the variations. As it is, the jumps between were a bit jarring.

Bravo! I agree Retrograde and Inversion don't particularly work by themselves but they almost sound like inner parts in a 3 or 4 part texture. Do you ever experiment with them that way?

haven't tried that, but perhaps on a subconscious level I'm often doing something similar
