15 Things You Wouldn't Believe People Actually Eat!

It’s a fact of life: everyone’s got to eat. But while most of us are more than happy to have a sandwich and a bag of hot Cheetos, some people are quite literally insane and would rather travel the world to eat... well, you’ll see. From a crunchy, gooey fish eye to a four-pound, cholesterol-packed cow tongue, here are 15 Things You Wouldn't Believe People Actually Eat!

Actually, "Head Cheese" was once eaten in East London, UK. It was there known as "Braun". The dish was outlawed by the British Government when "Mad Cow" disease became prevalent. For fear of Encephalitis, or "mad cow disease" spreading to humans, the Department Of Health banned the sale of "Braun".

It doesn't actually taste bad some say it tastes just like chicken plus we have a lot of frogs here especially when its raining. But if they catch the frog cruelly, its no excuse here. Its illegal to hurt animals here in PH. They would get 10-20 years of jailtime

Disgusting!

Beef tongue is fabulous. Just a pain to peel after cooking. I also love blood pudding. A lot of what is being shown here as unusual or ick is simply because so many in the west have had the ability to be picky and follow what's marketed. I still remember Grandma walking across the yard during butchering, carrying the pig's head by the ear - the meat from it would be used to make the most fabulous mince meat pies in the world.

But then again, I've lived in eight countries, including China, Vietnam and Malaysia, so I often had the chance to try things which might have been out of my comfort zone. None of them were great, and I wouldn't have to try them again. But then again, we in the western world eat some bizarre things like Rocky Mountain oysters, cheese in a can, fried rattlesnake, chicken gizzards, pickled pigs feet, jello salad and chitlins (look it up).

Some fish bone are also great for soup too after the meat is removed With the Mars bar, you can also get at most fish and chips shop in Australia, they’re pretty good Blood is also good in hotpot! I can confidently tell you that not everyone who serves it knows what they're doing! I don't agree with it being part of a Chinese Buffet...but I rarely eat buffet anything lol I'm also happy to share that I've been checked for parasites and don't have any. Also, I consume Sushi and Sashimi on a regular basis and it might have something to do with the fact that for about 15 years now, even through the Covid Pandemic I have not had ; ear ache, sore throat, sinus infection, cold, flu, or any upper respiratory illness. Not a lot of people can say that!

I am from the USA, so never had tongue in my youth. One day, in Europe, I came home late and looked for dinner in the fridge. I took out some tupperware with some veggies, and meat in some gravy. I ate it all up, and the meat was surprisingly good. Some hours later someone said "Oh you had the tongue" -_- well it tasted very good but I've never had it since :D but if someone served it I would not say no tbh

smh ignorant. There has not been a single case in where it is proven that eating bats is the one to infect humans with the virus. They have been eating it for a long time as long as OTHER places ate bats too. Ex: Thailand, Micronesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc.

I ate dog before, not bad. Don't be screamish because you think it might taste bad, we are all human and some of the things might taste very good. I say, go out and try it yourself.
