Wow! Thank you for all the great info!
You've done a great job explaining about Laos. However, you forgot to mention the most important thing is to have all your shots up to date. Bring any medication that you're taking. Do not drink tap water and don't forget the mosquito repellent.
Yes Laos 🇱🇦 is safe place to visit.you two should have a Laos name . I consider you two are Laos now you know about Laos customs than any Lao who lives abroad.
You guys are amazing ❤
Great information. Thank you so much.
Great informative video. This help to plan our next Laos travel destination. Cheers and keep up good work.
Great vid! Thankyou x
Awesome vid as usual. Loads of good info there 🙂
thanks guys, another wonderful video. one thing you should've mentioned is that, if you're taking money to exchange. just make sure that it is fairly new and in good condition, no markings, tears or rips. it will be very difficult to exchange and if you are able to, it will be lesser in value.

We watched your videos of your travels in Lao during Covid. It inspired us to travel for 30 days from Muang Ngoi to Don Det last December. It surpassed our expectations and has become our favorite country to travel. Thank you for the great insight to help make our trip so memorable.

enjoyed your summary of what its like in Lao. Just want to add that a regular one level bus is much more comfortable than a two level sleep bed bus. Its really hard to sit up without banging my head on the roof.

Great narrator..beautiful English accent ❤laos.
Thanks for this Vlog, very informative😊. One thing, I always take cash, if you exchange in the banks, or an exchange, no fee, excellent rate, Thailand, Cambodia, Ill try the same in Laos, because the Aussie dollar is so weak compared to Us Thai Baht works much better for Aussie exchange, 😂👍.
Sabei di Well Done

Two weeks is not enough time to fully experience Laos. Sadly I just got back from Laos and miss my new friends already.
Love it! I am coming to Laos in about next Tuesday! Just in time and thank you so much! I haven’t really plan anything but will be having 10 days in and out from VTE. What would your recommendation? I was thinking for sure VV and LP, but not sure if I should squeeze in others (don’t mind going further north or south). Do you have a quick recommendation ? Thanks. And would be glad to hangout together if you guys are still there!
@TravelsonToast

10 days might not be enough time to go much further around Laos, but maybe consider Meuang Feuang if you want another place to go. It's between Vientiane and VV. They have floating bungalows on the river with mountain views and the monks do the alms giving ceremony by boat along the river which is quite a unique experience. Plus not many tourists go there, it's mainly locals. We've already left now but have a good time!

I am living in southern China now, but I'm planning a trip to Lao in October. Which visa do you recommend, the e visa or visa on arrival? The Lao embassy is not terribly far from me.
Thanks We're did U arrive from? Do U know how much the flights are from Vietnam?

Do you recommend the Loca app for taxi and to use for payment method in convenience stores etc?
@TravelsonToast

Loca is good but we started using InDrive more because it was more affordable. Not sure about the convenience store payments, we usually pay cash
I want to move there.

Lao food is very vegetarian and vegan friendly even off the beaten path. A vegan or vegetarian can survive off of sticky rice, fresh fruit and veggies! Let’s not forget about the eggplant dip that can be made 100% vegan, all the different types of mushrooms! If you think about it Laos is a Mecca for vegetarian and vegan!

What is the longest amount of time per year you can spend in Laos on a tourist visa? I know you said you can renew it after 30 days, but is there is a set limit to how many calendar days per year they will permit you to renew it? Could someone expect to stay for 3-6 months, if they wished to?
@pj-vq3by

most countries can extend for 60 extra days in Vientiane, so 90 days total per year i believe
@TravelsonToast
5 ай бұрын
Yeah you can extend up to 60 days more before you would have to leave the country and come back again.
@johnnybgood3724

They will issue you 3 months visa at the port of entry. You can extend the visa up to an additional 60 days. After that, you have to leave the country and reapply if you want to go back.
heyy would you then not recommend to go to Laos in August-September? my boyfriend and I really want to go, but that’s the only time we can go visit:))

How?
What is thee most practrical and efficient way from Chang Mai, Thailand, to cross border into laos (not flight's) Also, you said $40 for visa, is that for 30 day's??
@TravelsonToast
4 ай бұрын
From Chiang mai a lot of people choose to take the slow boat down the Mekong. I think you need to go to Chiang Rai and cross the border into Huay Xai (Bokeo) then take the boat to Luang Prabang. Many tourists and travellers do this for the unique travel experience too. And yes 40 USD for 30 days
