But a moissanite instead. It is only slightly softer than diamond, has a higher refractive index than diamond, yet costs a lot less than what diamond does.

Number 16: Diamonds are not rare, the reason why diamonds are so expensive is because of savvy and sometime unethical business reasons, another contributor is the labour put into them. Number 17: Diamonds became a sign of marriage because of a marketing strategy. Number 18: Diamonds are one of the biggest scams in history. They found so much diamonds that they had a massive warehouse full of large crates containing tons of diamonds. They released it in small quantities so that it appeared rare and that they can get a more expensive price.

It’s not. Two million diamonds with a CT weight of 2 or more gets mined every year. The value of diamonds only comes from a very controlled supply and demand in the market. If someone finds a diamond mine and just sells those diamonds at a lower premium, the entire industry would collapse. Diamonds only have a market value and no inherent value. There’s not a finite amount of diamonds just select colored diamonds.

Swamp Lok , great Info , but there are two mistakes you made . #1is the biggest , priceless Dimond are two one is the Kohiinoor as you said but there is another one that you forgot is Daryaynoor , this Dimond is in Iran . In the beginning there were two Dimond that both offer to king of Persia for peace offering for prevention of war . One of these ston Kohnoor is stolen from Persia not India and now is on the Crown oh of Queen Elizabeth . The other one that is Daryaynoor is in Central Treasury in Iran with rest of jewelry that are belong to Iran . As I know as many years ago India asked to return both Dimond but it never happend . These two priclesss Dimond are originally belong to India .
