Houses around me are built in the 50's. I've also seen a few pushing 100 years old. The older the home, the more problems which can arise. A huge red flag for me is mold or moisture.

Well part of it is correct but I disagree with the older the more problems. Older homes can be as great as the newer ones if the ones you got have been taken care of and updated throughout the years. There are older homes out there that were neglected and same thing can br said to some newer ones out there. As long as you get a thorough inspection to your house you should be good to go.

Always find out how old the roof, the HVAC, the appliances are. Look at a year’s worth of utility bills, and adjust your offer accordingly. Also, ask the seller to pay for a year’s home owner warranty. And, young man, take grandma’s advice and work a touch on your grammar. You always want to be a professional and speak like a professional. I realize that young people often don’t pay attention in school to grammar but when you get out of school and start working, it becomes important. I want you to be successful. So work on losing “ain’t “ from your vocabulary. I wish you the very best!
