Well....I don't have any real friends because I have a problem of extreme stuttering to a level I take half a minute to just speak my name. I have some so called "friends" but they only call me when they need something from me. I tend to attract "wantrepreneurs" and golddiggers. I'm entirely way too regal to tolerate bullshit like that. I look at it this way, and it might seem egocentric, but if you never made over $5,000 in a week and you talk lots of shit, I look at you like a charlatan. Overall, I am very sociable and positive. If someone had something negative to say about me, its because I don't F with them and they are moved out of my right circle. My time is much to valuable to deal with posers. Triple F. Fuhkem.

When I look back at my life and the friends that have been around me, I realise they have all been jealous, and all wished me unwell. The nice friends have got on with their lives but maybe still have friendly feelings towards me. Maybe it is not normal to have friends that are always around but more normal to have friends that are here and there, because they're moving forward with their lives which is more healthy. And the ones that want you available to hang out otherwise they're not your friends, have problems.

This! I have two kids and my friend only one, yet me and my husband have been baby sitting for countless times. Our kids have only been with her an hour there and there, never alone at night... It is hurtful having to say no, because she never offers to help us out. That is my biggest sign.

I had a lot of fake friends. I helped all of them the best I can but they don't have a problem stabbing me in the back. This made me less trusting and less friendly.

I have learned to trust my instinct and go off the vibes that I detect alot more now. I feel we go through certain situations because it is suppose to be a learning experience for us to become the people we are suppose to become. I always try my best to look at the bright side. No matter how negstive a situation is there is always something positive to realize.

coconut mix that's a shame! I experienced the same thing when my Rose Colored Glasses got slapped off because I was so happy-go-lucky type of person very jovial and I still am for the most part but when I detect toxic people in my midst I'm less friendly and open to discuss my personal life. all they do is take everything you tell them and recycle it 2 tell it to someone else or try to transform it into something horrendous and horrible so that they can make it seem like there's someone special that you have told some type of guarded secret to when it's just you have told them something silly like your pants split in the middle of the day and you had to use staples to fix it until you got home. They'll take that and remix it and at is if you peed or pooed on yourself and was so embarrassed and humiliated, you see where I'm going with this? I don't trust anybody anymore and that's a shame but you have to do it and go on with your life and leave toxic people in the dust immediately! after being dumped on and targeted for so many years I've learned to eject out of the situation so quick that they think I have totally vanished on them and it drives them crazy! It's not intentional I'm just trying to protect myself and my kids as well as my heart because I was bullied as a kid and I have repressed anger that could make me bust somebody up real bad if I'm just letting them run over me and take advantage of me, seriously I just don't want to snap on them, black out and then wake up in handcuffs. 😂😕

I’ve had many fake friends and backstabbers. But I blame myself partially for not picking better friends. You have to open your eyes. Decent people are right in front of you. They may be different from your old friends but that’s ok. And you have to make an effort.

I keep it formal and keep them at arms length. Works just fine for me. I keep a very small circle. Any other way, you could answer your phone with "what do you want ?" I'm not a people person, never have been, but even less now. Most people are phony and only care about me me me.

I've just found 2 or 3 real friends in my life and now they're enough for me... An easy and fast way to tell they are fake is if they act really nice one on one and try to ask you a bunch of personal questions and then once you are in a group setting they will try to expose you by mocking all the answers you gave them. I noticed a "friend" when i first started college try to do this and I simply kept my answers to a minimum and then I would ask them the same question then I would try build another question based off their answer or come up with another one just in case they try to ridicule me in a group I have something to counter. Usually they will try to subtlety talk shit because they are afraid if they go all the way in the water a shark will come back to bitebtheir ass. And sure enough that "friend" tried it and I immediately responded with humour or with a counter then right after I would see a gulp in his throat and he never tried it again. Sometimes you'll get the omes who are really scared so they will to whisper or say something really low in front of you just low enough so that the person next to them can hear it but not you.

I have had one friend in my life;when I was a small child of age 3 to 6 ,I had a real friend who had many of the same cerebral pursuits as myself;reading,playing board games(scrabble,monopoly,etc.)and he liked to study the stars(constellations) and astronomy.We both had telescopes and would discuss the previous night sky,and postulate theory on black holes,worm holes ,and my favourite still:multiple realities that exist oblivious to one another due to one in phase and the other,out of phase while running parallel to each other.With various added factors including one reality traveling opposite time direction,to the other ,but still both in the same space continuum . I still miss him although when my family moved (12 times before I was 7 years old!)., I never spoke 2 him again .Since those wonderful days of childhood,I thought I had made a few friends ,but each one of them, systematically extracted what they needed from me ;only once they had what they required from me,they quickly abandoned me. The pattern continued through my teens,in2 my adulthood,even the girls I thought I fell in love with,were unfaithful even screwing in our bed ,while I was busy rehearsing 4 our next gig(I discovered I was a natural born musician with perfect pitch,so I had relentlessly practiced) finding my solace in composition and craft.When I began experimenting with entheogenics(cannabis,l.s.d.,mushrooms,mescaline,etc.)I found the truth about myself. I preferred the pursuit of virtuosity over the now predictable pattern of sociological interaction.I did have many acquaintances,but after turning twenty,I saw no point in becoming attached 2 anyone because I knew the pattern. I am 53 years now,and don't believe I really even recognize what friendship is.So I live in utter and complete solitude, and will never open myself 2 anyone ever again.Peace be unto each and everyone of U.🕊🤓🎼🎼🎼🎼✨🙏🏼✨Thank U4 your valueable time.....

I always joke with my sister that I have the voices for friends because I don't have friends I can trust either. I tell her that the voices are 2 girls and 3 guys and that they tell me when people are trying to hurt me. LOL

That may be true but it's a little hard to fix that with dysfunctional surroundings. You are the average of the people you hang out with. Better friends will reveal your character flaws. Bad friends will support them. The better ones will be accepting of a sincere apology, knowing you are on the right path while bad ones will take advantage of any weakness.

She said i was her best friend but she’d often have gatherings and not invite me. Instead she’d tell me about it the next day and let me know how it went. She’d tell secrets I told her. She used me but always reminded me to pay her back.

2021 helped me realized those traits of a fake friend, and this video adds up more clarity. I will cherish the real ones and kick out the fake ones. This 2022, no more fake friends in my life! 👎

@Sergio Canas , I feel you bro, I'm so tired of fake friends!! 😒 All I want is an honest true friend but the only people who I somehow become friends with are just there to put me below them. If you want to be friends or pen pals, we can talk over text or phone about our experiences. I'm offering that because all I want is a good friend I can talk to and trust. So yeah... A fake friend doesn't only mean they put up a smile but then hate you inside. They could just be using you because you make them laugh and they have fun with you. But, if you were bullied they wouldn't stand up for you because they care to much about they're reputation. If something better came along, they would leave you for them. They lie to you. They keep secrets from you. A true friend would stand up for you, they wouldn't lie to you, because friends don't lie. If someone or something better came along they wouldn't throw you away. If you say you don't want to be friends with a fake friend "Okay." They don't really care.

I am so glad I have cut out all of envious and hypocrite people of my life, left the group, and blocked their social medias. Now I am really at peace with myself and the authentic me. 😊😊

Same here. It's summer and I am by myself. I am educating myself each day. When I go back to work I'll just do my job, get paid, and go home. People at work are not your friends.

Fake friend is a person who constantly finds chances to ridicule you, view your good habits as bad ones and try their best to bring your level to theirs. They come always in need and rarely give a damn about what's going on in life. Such people deserve the least of the attention and energy. Thanks Alux for such a great video!

How are the fake seeing the title? "How to ACT like real friend."

FFF! This video really resonated with me. There is a particular “friend” in my life that score 15 out of the 16 points in this video. I had a sudden realisation late last year when it occurred to me not only were they a fake friend but the fakeness was fuelled by narcissism too. As soon as the penny dropped I had to set up boundaries and distance myself whilst appearing to be still friendly because you don’t want people like that as enemies. This is the best move I ever made, I feel freer and less anxious. I still have to be careful not too divulge too much of what is going on in my life, esp the positive things, on social media or to other friends who might innocently talk because like you said this person wouldn’t really be happy for me or use it against me in some way. It’s a delicate line to walk but worth it for peace of mind. Thank you for confirming all the doubts I had about this situation. I now know I’ve done the right thing by removing myself away from this toxic relationship. It’s like I emotionally invested in myself to have a brighter and lighter future.

From my personal experience finding true friendship is arduous nowadays. Most people that i know are apathic and self-centered. Life is really drab when you don't have someone to share your thoughts,feelings and worries.

I have met real friends. They've rare, but they do exist. You just have to take care about who you hang out with, and walk away from the takers. One or two good friends are better than dozens of half-assed acquaintances.

This is why I've always said that I was born in the wrong time. I LOVED my parents and grandparents generations! 💝 Ever notice when someone says, "I can't believe that people stayed married for 50 years or so." What's the secret?" The woman ALWAYS answers and says, "We were born in a time where if something was broken, you fix it-instead of throwing it all away." I ADORE this statement so much! Now, everyone talks about divorce, my ex, 2nd marriage, 4th marriage etc. when you should only get married ONCE! 😣 My mom and her friends, the word WIDOW and WIDOWER comes up a lot! Women live LONGER than men, and this damn cellphone is "Nothing" compared to being "Real" PEN PALS (That's actually pen, paper, envelope, and stamp)! THIS IS SO ROMANTIC WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT! 💝 This is also how my parents communicated. Not fucking match.com and 90 day fiancee. That sickens me!

A real friend will sacrifice for you. Not talk about you behind your back. Will be supportive. Won't put you down, or just criticize you just to feel better about themselves. Won't put you in danger. Will stick up for you. Will tell you the truth when it's necessary. Won't steal from you, or try to take away your significant other. Will accept you, as you are and not try to control you, or fix you, but will try to steer you in the right direction if they think you are making a wrong turn or bad decision in life. Won't betray you. Will invite you to major events in their life. Will share. They will encourage you. Will give you advice if you ask for it. A real friend knows when not to be around you too much, get clingy, whiney or act like a victim and try to dump his problems on you. If they have a problem with you, they will want to openly talk about it with you, and solve it, instead of keeping a grudge. Maybe not every friend will have these qualities, and will sometimes let you down, but they also need to treat you with respect, and vice versa.

The sad thing is, growing up, I was taught that this 'fake friend' behavior was _normal_ human behavior, and that I was going to emulate it whether I wanted to or not, because I was no better. Thank God for the Internet! There's now been such an explosion of communication and information that I have been able to totally discard the toxic mind-set I was raised to, and I feel so much better for it!

Not necessarily. My so called friend would tell me what nasty stuff people would say about me but she caused them to say it.. and she agreed with what they said

I've been dealing with #16. 10 years of serious employer induced illness earned me the title of liar, by every single family member and friends. As well as 18 Doctors. 10 years in a bed and not 1 of them walked up my steps. They all said they didn't have time to help me get better, but had plenty of time to run all their mouths to my face and behind my back. 6 surgeries of having my head opened up to remove the infection, and still none of them walk up my steps or try to have positive contact with me, now that I doing better. None of them are interested in fixing the damage they have caused. It has left me in a bad place. No job, no family, no friends, no life. Is a hard way to start life over after 12 years of a nightmare. I pray for a blessing that life will get better every day.

#15 is so true.. so many people claim to be your friend until you need something important. You help them but they never want to show the same support you gave them.

Everyone needs friends because social interaction is said to be healthy, but the sad thing is is that so many people are fake or toxic. The older you get the harder it gets.

FFF was everyone I was around but what’s worse is that my family is even more fake. That’s how I picked up the bad habit of attracting fake friends. Everything you described sounds like my life

I had a polish friend that we broke up recently because he showed a majority of this list and things weren’t getting better only worse. Betrayal, pretending to help minisculy only so he can work freelance jobs in the US. Spilling secrets, ridiculing me behind my back. I am generally a good hearted person who gives genuine friendship and love and after 7 months of relationship, I realized this person was only interested in his self gain. Eventually got a job and made more money than me and then didn’t stand up for me when I needed it most, told me he didn’t have my back and not to trust him. Also, did a lot of hurt to me when I was needing help as a human being, I feel like I deserve friendship from people that value me and see me as an asset. I only send this out in the universe because I believe in Karma and the need for justice. I have never experienced anything like this or have ever treated anyone like this! I’m still hurt by what happened to me. Now, I’ve learned to only trust in God and myself and to only invest in myself which is probably the best course of action from now on.

I live in NYC and there are so many FFFs! Living here, I got to the point that friends do not actually exist!

My understanding is that the trend is worldwide, including Africa. The latter is a place I no longer recognize. People no longer show empathy and tend to become selfish and wicked.

FFF.....I was in denial for so many years about someone who I thought was my best friend. The great poet, Maya Angelou said, “When people show you who they really are, Believe Them!”

1. That only happens when were in something that is suppose to be competitive.......but we know it's just a joke. 2. I feel instantly guilty when I make my bestfriend sad, so I always apologize. 3. wait, one of my friend did this to me 4. when we give, we usually dont take back 5. I'm always happy when my friends get/win what they want 6. I do that all the time, but there's always that one girl who calls us (boyfriends) when I do that. 7. I hope that doesn't happen 8. my bestfriend would never talk to me after that 9. I dont know about that. 10. my bestfriend is my best friend forever

I think the best option would be to say you're with your old school friends and he'll know that you're ignoring him

There exists something as fake family? You either have family or you don't. A family member had affinity with said family when they were reborn. But such affinity sometimes dissolves. And it's OK: you have started to live on your own terms.

I've always thought this lady who always comes crying to me when she doesn't get what she wants, how she wants it and when was fake. These videos prove me right. So sad.

Eventhough I am SLOW to notice these kindsa things, I think I would prolly know what a FAKE FRIEND is when I see one... One person whom I thought was my 'best buddy' that I knew and associated with for at least 15+ years in a row, turned out to be the FAKEST you could ever meet in your life. Back then, I took really good care of his father during his last remaining months prior to his death. He was overburdened with work and everything else going on in his life, so I thought I would just pitch in and help him out. I brought his father food, clothes, supplies, and looked after his daily needs, ect. Basically, all of the things a true friend might do if he knew your family was in need of help and support. After his father finally passed away, I even helped pay for his funeral. Then came the time when MY dad died, this two-faced sonofabitch totally kept away far from me and NEVER even said a single word of condolence, nor did he even give me as much as a phone call. Not even a single phone call! Everything just went QUIET. This was at least a year ago, and he still hasn't showed me that he ever cared! 🙄

It's a funny thing about vulnerability.. You open up to people which is taking a chance (I'm not saying it can't pay off) and later they can write a book about you. I don't know if it was a fake ad or what, but it seems a "tell all" book is being written (or is done) about the first lady by her "friend". How's that for a vote of confidence about forming friendships! It is important peeps, to rely on yourself for your basic happiness. It is very smart to be able to derive as much pleasure from nature as possible. Nature is a friend you will always find even if you are in the city. Be happy when you are alone, be your own mother and father and best friend. This is not to say you shouldn't have friends, but I think more and more it is practical to have business relationships as friends as it has risks, but at least can prove fruitful.. Lol. Take care of yourselves, peeps. Be kind to everyone and know when to shut up for your own sake.. Lol. Much love to all.

I am blessed to have 2 bffs, 2 good friends and 2-3 more people that I get along with. I always stay away from fake people. I am usually he one that receives more help and attention and I am doing my best to return the favours.

I remember when I was a kid I saw other kids moving in this direction with their outlook on life and relationships. Narcissism starts early
