Finally some love for the Lips of Ashes. What a devastatingly beautiful and soul-crushing (with disturbing lyrics mind you) song. Kudos to Steven Wilson.

Agreed, that ending riff sounds unearthly. I have no idea where Steven pulled that from but it's a forlorn place.
You know a lot of songs, albums, and bands you’re good at bass, an extremely good guitarist, a great vocalist and you create your own music. I’m wondering how much time you spend doing activities that are not related to music?

No one showed me so many interesting bands like Andrea.
Thank you for playing the full outro to Lips of Ashes. It's one of my favorite songs.
You’re one of my favorite youtubers keep on rocking
No lie, Counterparts, specifically the first three songs from it, got me into Rush and rock music in general. I'm actually learning Stick It Out right now. Keep on doing your thing, Andrea.

I was both surprised and glad to see Rush on the list. Cut to the Chase is a fucking great song, but I would have chosen something maybe from Hemispheres.
That's exactly what I needed in my life right now! Also I love that Schecter of yours!
Really appreciate the choice of the bands, especially Porcupine Tree and Riverside. Love your solo stuff too
Felt good to see God is an Astronaut in here. I'd love to see Cloudkicker in one of these one day.

This is too impressive. The Alcest riff really went straight through the heart for me.
perfect time of the year to give type o negative some love, great song pick as well, it probably wasn't easy to pick just a single riff from them for this video either lol (the chorus tone is near perfect too, love it)
Man, Riverside is an amazing band. Love that you included them. And I love the Casualties song, too.
Type O Negative 💚🖤
Andrea, the fact that positions 11 and 12 look so good together with everything else is the best compliment I can give you. Go on like this you're great. Love from Florence
Holy f... Andrea you really killed it with "Burden"!!! Impressive voice and melody. And you just give me some inputs of things to listen. Thanks a lot !!!
Man....i always find new shit to listen to with you, boma...as always, absolutely magnificent job. You are horrendously underrated as a performer
I was like, "What is this band Lock the Basement? They sound great, I should check them out!", turns out it's you, well done sir.
A Funeral mention? Beautiful. That and Tragedies/Tristesse could easily be my favorite album of all time
Wasn't expecting GIIA but I'm glad it made it. Those guys have gem after gem across their repertoire.
sounds cool, reminds me days when I had a huge pedalboard with all kinds of modulation effects so I played smth like this
The transition from bacchus to stranger is soooo good
Didn't think I'd notice your riff in there, did you?
Ha, I was totally digging Side of the Road without realising it's your project. Listening to your stuff on spotify and it kicks fucking ass dude

Particolarmente Bella la 12 Burden ! Bravo Andrea e Grazie per intrattenerci con la tua musica in questi tempi dove ovunque si parla anche troppo di covid -_- !
Clicked purely for the porcupine tree, great to see In Absentia getting some love after nearly 20 years
I would love to see a complete Nihilistic Estrangement cover!
Pretty cool! Didn't expect Riverside tho. It's such a great band. I went to a small concert few years ago and have loved them ever since
Non ci sono parole... UNICO in Italia. Quando vieni zona Venezia avvisami che ci beviamo una birra insieme. Complimenti, veramente
I was waiting for an Opeth song :( BTW you're amazing as always !
nice work! Cut to the Chase actually one my fave newer Rush tune
Great video man. Absolutely love riffs like this. Thanks for the video man
Beautifully played Andrea and I sincerely thank you introducing me to some excellent bands! I'm glad I clicked on this vid
HOLY SHIT FIRST TIME I'VE EVER SEEN SOMEONE REP NOVEMBRE!!! Truly a cultured man!
The opening guitar for Right in Two by Tool 💚
I was hoping for a Tremonti riff but hey, still an awesome vid.
The first two together honestly make the perfect opening part to a song. And the third one is the outro to that song.
Glad to see Rush on the list! Love Counterparts as a whole. PD: Hemispheres is the album of mystical riffs ;)
Riverside, Funeral, God is an Astronaut and Alcest on the same video. Beautiful!
Wow the 6th one worth the whole "15 Sad Riffs" video :D, so powerful and heavy...
im pretty sure i commented this on like 4 other videos but i always check you out for good metal recommendations on these videos and you always deliver
Here are a few of my favorite atmospheric and ethereal riffs Blackwater Park by Opeth Culling Voices by TOOL Across The Rainbow Bridge by Ayreon Sun by Haken Unforgiven lll by Metallica The Sound of Muzak by Porcupine Tree Sun of Nothing by Between the Buried and Me Painters of the Tempest, Pt. lll by Ne Obliviscaris A Nightmare to Remember by Dream Theater Ten Years Gone by Led Zeppelin In all honesty I could have easily filled this list with only Opeth riffs or TOOL riffs lol
Definitely looking forward to part 2. Would like to see Scale the Summit and Plini in the next one.
In Absentia is a masterpiece of an Album.
Great to see riverside on the list
2 and 12 for me. I listen to your song quite regularly on Spotify. Total Epicness!
