The cave in France. I thought that was closed off due to CO2 & wear from modern day visitors.. and I also thought access was from a cliff face.. So either I'm thinking of a different cave system or they've added a new access point and are now allowing visitors again. What a fantastic set of drawings /cave art- never anything so beautiful.. it is SO OBVIOUS THAT ANCIENT MAN WAS INDEED AS BRILLIANT - PERHAPS MORE SO- CERTAINLY MORE RESOURCEFUL, THAN WE ARE TODAY. You’re correct. The preservation efforts are the reasons why it’s off limits. They have been recreated by artists in another cave so you can see them.
