Hey folks! Josh here - the founder of the channel! I drop in sometimes and narrate the videos :) We have an unbelievable KZread project we're working on. We're starting a new channel soon that will feature visualizations of obscure but very possible scientific theories. Theories showing unbelievable possibilities of how things could work. We haven't launched it yet, but drop me a follow on Instagram (link in description) to keep up to date. Going to be a totally new thing on KZread.

Definitely. Not just a weight limit but weight in general. I saw one slide a few years back where if you didn't weigh enough they wouldn't let you on it. If you were too light there was a danger that you wouldn't be going fast enough when you got to the parts that weren't that steep and you'd stop.
@tianna4950
3 жыл бұрын
supertuber120 is that not the standard for all water slides? Here in Australia all the water slides have a min and max weight as well as height for some and you’ll be refused to enter the slide if you don’t meet the requirements. I haven’t been to any overseas water parks so sorry if it’s common knowledge
@parden3743

Exactly, you're not an engineer. Weight isn't the cause, you saw that even children got hurt
I was actually injured on the cannon ball slide in Action Park in Vernon NJ... I hit my leg on the top of the tube, and hit the water with such force, I almost drowned because my leg was so hurt. I suffered from debilitating migraines for a whole week afterward from the fear and trauma I suffered. Never, ever again would I go there. Also my son who was 12 at the time almost drowned in the wave pool that same day! Worst experience of my life!!!

Most of this b-roll/youtube footage isn't of the attractions they're talking about 14. Insano wasn't banned/problematic. 12. Shoot the Rapids isn't a waterslide. 11. Steamer wasn't banned/problematic, and exact copies of the model are in operation all over the world. 10. Black Hole wasn't banned/problematic. 8. Women often have this "issue" on high speed slides with high-water runouts if they do not keep their legs crossed as instructed. Hitting the runout with legs crossed avoids jets of water being thrust into "those places". Other parks haven't faced lawsuits from idiots who can't follow rules or this rule would be everywhere on drop slides. 6. This is one of the most common slides on the market. There are dozens that serve millions of riders . 5. Like many other on this list- this slide is a direct copy of dozens of other models found at parks around the world. 4. Per the usual on your "list", this model was found across the world with dozens operating safely for decades. 3. Nothing "banned" about this. Code violations number in the dozens at all parks. And by the way, every single park here in Orlando is infested with cockroaches. It's normal. Gross, but normal. 2. Idiot sat up, severely lowering his buoyancy. More resistance placed by his mis-distributed weight slowed him down. Had he obeyed proper riding instructions, this would not have happened. This happens every day, and is not the fault of the park. 1. So... not banned. Not dangerous. You just put a tall/fast slide on there for what reason? Models like this operate at DISNEY water parks. They're not dangerous. You've got about 3 legitimate "dangerous" slides here. Lists like these are why we have such a stupid and uninformed populace.

Action park was nicknamed traction park by my friends growing up.
I think it is worth noting that the original Action Park was only open from 1978-1996, shutting down due to negligence and multiple deaths. It was opened under a different name and lost all popularity because they had to shut down almost all of the rides due to danger. It was only re-opened as Action Park again in 2014, just to close again in 2016. It does appear to be open again as Mountain Creek, however.

What the hell Vernon New Jersey!!!
The Vernon New Jersey water park was called Action Park, the nickname was Traction Park. There was numerous deaths and countless injuries. Teenage employees and beer sold everywhere.. There was some really cool rides though. The loop water slide was never really opened. I never really heard Accident Park , like I said it was Traction spark. They had a Tarzan swing that drops you in a deep, dark green colored pool, that was always so cold that I think the shock caused 2 heart attacks.

15:28 “This 2015 incident isn’t the first time the Hawaiian Falls was slapped with a lawsuit. In 2016 the Texas water park was given an $85,00 fine for violating child labor laws.” Did anyone else notice that the dates aren’t in order here? He states that the 2015 event wasn’t the first time the park broke the law and then proceeds to tell about another time it broke the law in 2016. He must have gotten the dates mixed up or he just accidentally said the wrong dates entirely, I’m not sure.
Im from Kansas City. Moved here from ohio when i was 11. I was a freshman in highschool when the little boy died. And i only visited schlitterbahn once. The ride was open a that moment in time. Off topic, but your voice is so relaxing
What do you expect?? I would never get on any of these. I expect to either to go flying off the slide or drown, no thank you!! 😣😣😣
OMG I've ridden the black hole so many times 🤣🤣 thank god it's gone ! The fucked up thing about the black hole was that you couldn't see most of the time and when you reached what you thought was the end , you got 5-10 seconds of spinning around in large circles and bright burning Florida daylight only to wash down to a hole in the middle where it blacked out again . Once you fell down the 8ft hole you landed in another pool with no clue which way up was. I was 12 years old ( 12-14 not sure) and once I feel into the black hole at the end I was so disoriented that I swam to the bottom of the pool first before realizing I was going down. Once I popped my head out of the water again I was so happy to breath again . Legit panic had set in.
Somehow I KNEW they would mention Verruct first.
There would be NO way I'd ever get on one of those things. Never mind allow my children near one.
6:25 "I had my p-dawg injured on the water slide ...."
Insano is not banned. It still working and i love it!
The #15 ride was actually in Kansas City, Kansas. I remember that happening, so sad.
I went to action park many times when i was younger. Its true people got banged up but it was a lot of fun.
I loved Action Park Vernon Valley Great Gorge. The Curly Q aka the killer, (the halfpipe that was left standing) the water slide :Aqua Scoot" with the metal rollers if the person fell off the mat, hair would get scalped and then the persons body shredded as they went down on the rollers, landing on the slid mat. (I witnessed it along with the aftermath) I was hanging out and cliff jumping off the side of the River Raft and the separate pool that you can float around in. I loved the Cliff Jumping, I miss the slides going up the mountain on the lift and going fast down. Across the other side, go karts. Was good to be a kid going there, you never knew what would happen. The water pools were like the south park episodes.. The wave pool ...insane..because there were so many people in it you knew ..folks pee'd in it all weekend long. But the huge slides? I went on the higher one and it was ALWAYS awesome. Oh well..So going during the week became the norm.
Hope you all are having a good day God bless
The Thunder River Rapids Ride was a river rapid water ride located in the Town of Gold Rush section of Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, Australia. After four riders were killed on it in late October 2016, the ride was closed. I had been on this ride many times and didn't have a problem
The waterslide in Kansas City was not in Missouri. It was in Kansas. I lived there, when that tragedy occurred. The boy was decapitated, and the other two women had his blood all over them. Another sad thing about this story, is the boy's father, was one of the politicians that had part in putting this slide up, even though it didn't meet safety regulations. I actually wanted to ride the slide, before this incident.
As far as I know, Insano is not "banned" at all and is still operating in Brazil. It has been topped by the Kilimanjaro, also located in Brazil but at a different park. I mention this, because your video talks about it in past tense and is on a list of banned slides but this is false, as it is NOT in fact banned at all. Only thing that changed about the slide is the letters that spell "Insano" on the slide have been removed. But other than that, it's still operating and still has the same name.

man I was upset when Wet N Wild in Orlando was shut. I loved that Waterpark and more importantly loved the slides, including Black Hole, as a child. It was awesome. but not awesome that someone got hurt on the ride. Thats insanity. Just insane. Now I understand why the Waterpark was shut down, more importantly that ride.
Omg I used to live right by Hawaiian Falls in Texas, and my friends and I would go all the time as kids. Now it's under the name Splash Dayz. I had no idea that happened.
Cannon ball falls!!! Lmao loved that slide as a kid. It was scary !
I actually rode cannonball falls in action park in the 80s, it wasnt the drop that got you, it was the near 45 degree turn at top speeds that hurt before being dropped out into the lake water. Also, if youre going to talk about "Banned Waterslides" it might help to actually focus the imagery of the waterslide you are talking about instead of footage of other slides that have nothing to do with the one you are discussing.
OMG these are ao terrifying I couldn't even finish the video. Happy about the information but too emotional to continue. Also I will never be riding nor let my kids ride anything ever again that hasn't been thoroughly vetted by me first. I am traumatized. 😫
This was an interesting video! I liked it alot! I didn't even know that these were banned. I would not go on any. Lol too scary. Thanks!! 💙

Several of them are not banned at all and are in fact still operating. Idk why Top Fives is misleading people. Example: Insano is definitely still up and still operating. It has never been banned. Brazil holds the record for having some of the tallest water slides in the world. At least 3 of them are in the top 5 in the WORLD as being the tallest and scariest and they are all still operating.
I went to Wet n WIld many times as a kid in Orlando FL, and ran on that black hole ride. Luckily I never got hurt but it was pretty crazy there were a few times I felt like I could of gotten hurt lol. I always wondered why it closed down years later.
In my country Malaysia..in the capital city Kuala Lumpur ..we also got one closed historical theme park..which build on 1980 and closed around 1992.. Also because of head injuries that happened twice towards the visitors when they had the slide falls with tremendous speed at that time.. Make them hit their head to the end of the pool side borders.. These two unlucky visitors who gives thier lifes here makes these water park closed for good.. I was 9yold at that time .. And these theme park got a very unique name we used to be call the MIMALaND.... Malaysians who grown up on 80s mustahave their own memories with this huge and big historical park .. We miss you Mimaland..
these waterslides... are crazy dangerous!
#1 was at Schlitterbahn, and it was in Kansas City Kansas. I used to see Verruckt from my balcony until they tore down it down. Up to three people could ride down together, and his brother witnessed the decapitation firsthand.
I will never forget going to Avon Park growing up... Being from New Jersey and living here my whole life, the thing to do in our teenage years was go to "Action park water park" you NEVER left feeling like you were beat up. Every muscle sore, our main thing to say was before going, "let's go get beat up" fun right? We would also leave thinking it was pain from doing so much. We would also leave saying "I have muscles in pain I didn't know existed" It wasn't sad when it was closed down. It's nickname became "Class action suit Waterpark" we were young and didn't know any better. You think a Waterpark is safe, especially when every slide had height and or weight limits. You trust that adults knew what they were doing. Thinking back, look at pictures. This Waterpark was mainly in grass. Hardly any cement to look like it was a somewhat decent park. We found out years later some pretty horrifying facts. Glad it's gone!
Love this channel
I'm all set with water slides, never was a fan
Dang those are some crazy slides.
You could water ski on a wire at Wet and Wild. Took some skill! Loved that place!
i live in Australia and when i went to school at that time in qld, the time when the water rapids ride tragic took place in 2016 everyone at my school was devastated, and dreamworld lost its reparation to the whole of Australia, my friends and i litteraly rode that ride a few mounts before that tragic thing happened, i still have the video of my friends and i uploaded on my youtube channel here of it. we were all in yaer 11
I've been down the Black Hole water slide honestly 100 times. I rode it one day 13 times one day. Glad nothing happened to me.
I’ve been on Cannon Ball Falls multiple times before it closed. It was an 11 ft drop into COLD spring-fed DEEP (not shallow) pool. It was super fast and very disorienting. Lifeguards constantly had to jump in to get people out. The entire park is insane. I was black and blue for a week after visiting. 1 raft ride you had to wear football helmets on b/c you were jerked around so much. I’ve heard it’s a lot tamer now but haven’t been there in years. Also, the park’s not really closed, it’s just got a new name.
I laughed more than I should’ve at this video.
Class-Action Park and Traction Park are my favorite names for it.
Women on the Phaser: Ow hey not so fast! Rushing water on the Phaser: Sorry about that miss.
Any KZreadr: makes a banned waterslides video without vurruckt Waterslide police: That’s illegal
God bless🕊
that boy is having alot of fun in heaven
As a child I fell out of a couple water slides...I turned out alright, some kids/folks just don't have it. It seems the kind of people you don't want to see at a water park are usually the kind of people you find at a water park, they can cause the slides to bend, screws to come loose, get stuck or smash into stuck riders. BTW: I'm not talking about fat/hairy/plain ol' ugly families either, because they keep those parks open.
Cannonball should be number 1# on the list. Video blogger, number 13# cannonball.
I went into cannonball falls feet first and came out head first but never felt myself turn around. I left action park with a concussion, but man was it fun.
Wow I went to Hawaiian Falls (Pflugerville) in 2015. They shut it down and then someone bought it and renamed it to Typhoon Texas
If you want to watch footage of water slides that have nothing to do with the "most insane waterslides" Top Fives is ranking, then this is the video for you.
Nice video!
I was on the black hole many times. It was kind of lame. Actually the most dangerous thing about it is 1) its Florida and 100000 degrees 2) its black = it was hotter than hell in those tubes and I would imagine someone passing out from that aspect not the actual slide.
The only waterslide accident I ever had is getting stuck halfway because it didn't go fast enough...
