You have done it again and again Minds eye; I loved watching this video. It was so much fun to watch!!!!!!

Interesting thanks for sharing Minds Eye and Glen. My favorite was the Jet capsule boat.

Great stuff, wish I had any one of them. The thing some of them had a very limited range but still very neat.

I bought a personal transport device for only 6 grand. It has 4 wheels so it's more stable than the 3 wheeled version, has enough room to haul 4 people and groceries, it will run all day and all night, no recharge time, and it's lasted me 12 years so far. It's a great and practical invention.

The aptera concept was of the greatest interest. I hope it is able to go to production.

Oh yes that was Sikorsky first practical helicopter the vs300 after they enclose the cockpit, originally it was an open frame fuselage

I loved that they used the original cowling design. I lived in Mainz in the 50s, the KR200 was a common, and pleasing, sight...

It's Sikorskys' first helicopter that he flew .

I will be a part of such innovation in the future - but be so advanced from it.

lol Messerschmitt ME 262 was the name of the first jet engine fighter plane in WW 2 i didn't even know that company still existed !

I've got just one thing to say MHD drive is really the way to go ironizing the atmosphere no moving parts should be the future of air craft you could live in

What I found most interesting is that most of these new vehicles are being designed either in Germany or southern California. I think there was one in Australia and one in Texas. If that wasn't representative, maybe you could spread the love around a bit better next time.

There is another Low cost Fully electric 2 person 3 wheel car, called Arcimoto, made in Oregon, and is now delivering Vehicles.. 102mi range, top speed of 75 mph...

Some can be used to rescue folks but much is devoted to personal entertainment

Question: why not put the rotor ofthe volocoptor below the frame and change the structure to a wing for better lift performance for all the obvious reasons ?

Considering that is Sikorsky sitting in the cockpit of that helicopter it would be my guess it is him test flying one of his prototypes .

Most are in the final stages of testing as mentioned in the video. This is an update on several that started out years ago as a prototype. None will go main stream? I don't think any are meant to go mainstream. There are at least 10 "passenger drones" I can think of that will be flying people from point A to point B within the next 2-3 years.

Comfirmed this is the right for RV vehicle.

It all depends on where these vehicles will be road or otherwise legal according to what else is on the road, the flying car will need a proven safety track record to be a investible asset.

Early Sikorsky prototype love the presenter!

While a number of these vehicles are truly innovative, they've been telling us about flying cars since the late 1950's. I still find the idea of "anybody, flying anywhere, anytime" a bit disturbing since humans manage to produce 1.5 million traffic deaths per year while navigating in two dimensions. With all the banal legislation passed by legislators with acutely limited insight, getting licensed, insured, financed, and granted entry into airspace are likely to be hurdles that "anybody" won't be able to clear. Never the less, I respect the time, effort, research, and energy spent making the video.

They already have these "flying cars" it's all about legislation and testing now. I think if you go to the Hover Bike website and have enough money you can buy a hover bike/flying motorcycle right now. You won't be able to ride it off your own property without being arrested, but that's not the point. Flying taxis, flying cars, and passenger drones, are here already. There are at least 20 companies way past the prototype phase. Most likely, we won't be able to fly them to work for another 20 years or so. Not until it's completely autonomous driving. This first wave of eVTOL are likely for military, shuttle services, police, search and rescue etc. There have also been flying cars dating back to the 50s. The available technology wasn't there yet. The neccessary technology clearly is now.

That 6X6 Truck is awesome!

The Volocopter look's like more of a hazard waiting to happen with all of the open low level helicopter spinning propeller's. Then the Messerschmitt look's like a grown up version of a Go-Cart we had when we were children, also look's like it will not be much more ten a speed bump for a Semi-Truck or large Pickup Truck. Plus how is this little toy car going to handle in weather like rain, snow, or ice?

I don't understand how the departure one made it to the top 15 most innovative vehicles, when it is just basically just a re-skin of an existing product. Then the pod bike with its innovative parking system gets an honorable mention. Lol
