Jay Leno owns the only Chrysler jet car left in the world. Same color as your video. Super rare car. ✌🏻🇺🇸❤️

There are 9 surviving Chrysler Turbine cars left of which he does own 1. Turbine though, not jet. Big difference.

@@lawrencet83 Disagree. Yes, it's marvelous and historically significant, but it's old news; everything that could be written about it, HAS been written about it - kinda like Shakespeare. Time to move on, there's a treasure trove of info on the J58 on KZread, I'd rather learn of other interesting masterpieces. The channel gave a historical nod to Whittle and the 004 (and the Chrysler - news to me, that...) but there's only room for fifteen.

A very good and interesting selection. I have only one gripe - the title. It should read "15 of the Most Incredible Turbine Engines" perhaps with "In Our Opinion" as a qualifier. Many important engines were missed out. For example the BMW 003 which was developed as a competitor to the Junkers Jumo and formed the basis of the successful French jet engines of the post-war era which powered the various Mirage jets and others. You also missed the significance of the Whittle engine and its developments as being the power in many of the early jet aircraft of the UK, USA, France and of course The Soviet Union in the MiG15.

The classic error at 11mins discussing the RR Trent engine. RR aero engines based in Derby UK are nothing to do with RR Motor cars. RR split into separate companies in about the early 1970s - RR Motor Cars and RR aero engines. RR Motor cars was then taken over by BMW sometime later. RR Motor cars, I think, also moved away and maybe even shut their factory in Crewe, Cheshire (where they had been based for many years) and moved to Hampshire, UK.

He got it right, the incorrect (prolly bc there weren't any photos of the Raider yet??) aircraft was shown; perhaps it would have been better to say 'similar in looks to the B-2.' At any rate, the B-21 is powered by a derivative of the F-135; the B-2 uses F-118s.

Admittedly, i didn't watch every minute. But the biological engine resembles rather a rocket engine than a turbine jet engine. When Wittles engine is a thing, then should be the Heinkel HeS 3 a thing. It was the first jet engine to take off the ground in an actul jet plane. Remarkable i guess. Somewhat missing is the Rolls-Royce BR700 series or former BMW-Rolls-Royce, hence BR, is the mainstay of business jets and some regional and military jets. Soon to become the powerplant of the B-52 Stratofortress.

A turboshaft engine is still a jet engine. Heck, a rocket engine is a jet engine. Re: JPL doesn't send turbojets into orbit. Not citing sources, yes, is bad form.
