No, I have not been hired as an editor for Vinesauce. Although, that would be a dream come true. The main channel uses the "adult swim" bumpers for clip compilations and "best ofs" as well. I basically just made a whole channel around that concept.

Limes and Vinny have taken strides to make sure people understand there is no official team anymore. They all still use the Vinesauce name, but it's moreso a loose thread of streamers that are all friends, than an actual assorted team or group.

Why is it the consensus that it's okay to make fun of the director but not the actor? Actors are the ones we are hearing. Yes, make fun of the director too, but they didn't have to turn in such an awful performance. Actors shouldn't be a protected class. Anyway funny italian man makes me laugh.

I don't think there's any particular "consensus " Vinny is referring to. But, I assume his reasoning is because the director is the one leading the actor to say the lines in the way we hear them. It isn't always right to assume the actor has the full hand in the performance being the way it is. Now, there's always a chance that an actor is inexperienced or "less than stellar." But, I feel in this case it could be the director "leading the actor astray" so to speak. But, yes, Italian Man funny, heehee haha.

In regards to the "that just happened" writing, actors don't really have anything to do with it. It's writers and directors that control it, the actor is just doing what they're told.

The actors don’t have a choice. They’re delivering the lines exactly how the director wanted them to. They KNOW it sounds bad, but someone above them is telling them “yes, good, that’s what we want to be in the game”. Like…wtf are they supposed to do about it?

If more projects fell through because actors refused to play god-awful characters no one likes that we're supposed to like, I'd be fine with that. Don't take that the wrong way: it's a multi-fault process on the writer, director, and actor; they all had to come together to make such a colossal piece of shit. But saying the actor isn't at fault because it's just a job is saying the writer and director also are not at fault because it's just a paycheck to them too.

Not all anime are good, obviously. But, many people often conflate a few low quality series with the rest of the medium. Because, yes, anime is a medium, not a genre. It's a vessel for telling stories in the same way live action films are. It's like saying you don't like films because The Flash exists.

I make no money off of these videos, and the views mean absolutely nothing to me. I am simply signal boosting my favorite creators to show them to as many people as possible, so that they can have all of the fans they deserve. Once again, I apologize for the mixup.

​@@naysayerck5971are you new to the internet or something? fan-made highlights and clips are the lifeblood of streaming communities. there are official Vinesauce editors that originated as fan channels (AdamRhodes536 is one off the top of my head, and iirc Vappy and Southbird started off doing unofficial edits and archives) and i know Jerma has been prolific when it comes to hiring fan editors.
