You are always so sweet!
Kelli please dont apologize for going over 15 min, you know we appreciate every minute of your time sharing your creations with us. I literally could go on and on. I do sometimes doing up to 3 a day! I started to send cards to loved ones as a surprise. One friend got it yesterday and said he will frame it! It was a tribute to Tina Turner on the day she died because he loved her! This one I loved and its a tribute to me on my birthday today!

I’m happy you are enjoying it!
Thanks, Kelli. I loved doing this one wwith you!
Kelli, I think I can speak for everybody when I say that we don’t care how much over 15 minutes you go, you could go 15 hours & it would be okay. Just joking of course but certainly 15 minutes is very short time and you have such a lovely voice and teaching style. Many people who make instructional videos and post on YT (and believe me, I have seen hundreds) could learn a number of things from you in the production dept. You have all the points perfected…except for apologising for going over!😊 *A nice gentle, relaxed, even toned voice,( so many have a voice like a buzz saw) . *a slow, methodical but not boring approach to the task WITH all equipment and tools ready. *and definitely no music to fill in quiet spots. Everyone’s choice of music is different and I think I have only ever watched one person who had music that suited me. If people need the music then they can play their own in their own home. Most of the music that is free to play on here is jingoistic *Muzak* anyway, just the same phrases over and over. For those of us who find that annoying it can turn you off something for good. * *Muzak* is a brand of background music played in retail stores and other public establishments like the music you hear in elevators and when placed on hold on the ph. The name has been in use since the 1930s

Amen to every last word of this!!!! Whyyyy does it take some folks 45 minutes to create one or two tangles? How does a monotangle take an hour? Kelli, stick with what works --- you, your gentle voice, your hugely helpful tips and thoughts, a quiet environment, and most of all, YOU! Don't worry about the time. That will take care of itself (again, as if we care!!!!😉😊)
Nice doodle, useful for my digital scrapbooking.

Still plenty of time for me to do this during my lunch break! ❤
I loved how you taught this tangle. I thought it was going to be very hard, however, in your Kelli way, you broke it down to make it doable. I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful teaching style. ❤

One of the reasons that I love watching your videos is that you take your time explaining how to draw these tangles. If you are trying to keep them under 15 minutes, you will feel in a hurry to get them done, which defeats the idea of slowing down and relaxing. It doesn't matter how long your videos are. (unless you have to keep them under 15 minutes) I will still enjoy your videos. ;o)

How can ANYONE claim to have "invented" a tangles? We've been doing thus kind of doodling for EVER! You name it, we've probably drawn it. We just never thought to copyright our designs. Like.. how do you become a "Certified Zen Tangle ....." Did you have to trademark the term "Zentangle"? I'm facinated. It's been 30 years since my late husband and I drew these cool Lil doodles. Karl has some of his best in frames. He even did a show st the UW university back in 1985... I'm just glad I stumbled into here in KZread. This is bringing back some great memories ❤

The only thing copyrighted, is the term "Zentangle." The doodles are not copyrighted and they do not claim to have invented them. The couple who started Zentangle began finding complicated designs all over the world in architecture, pottery, fabrics, and nature and they "deconstruct" them to make them easier for people to draw. They encourage people everywhere to use them and to design their own to share with others. It's such a wonderful community of people who share their favorite doodles and show various ways to use them!
