15 Minutes of S Gauge Steam Trains!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Safe to say I've been sitting on enough footage to group one of these together. If you enjoy seeing steam across postwar and modern eras, this is the ticket for you! Got a little bit of everything, from the classic Northern and 300AC, to modern tanks like the Big Boy and Y3 Mallet.

I love American Flyers because they are fun to have. Like the chuffing noise is so iconic cause it’s coming from the tender. But I’ve worked on a few of these when I was repairing them with my grandfather. They are a bitch to work on but once you get them fixed, they run BEAUTIFULLY. I’m a model railroader my self, I have O gauge. It doesn’t compare to the American Flyer engines that people have. Especially the 4-8-4 in the video is hard to find

Even though I do stuff in HO scale, I can't help but admire how beautiful and fun S scale models are! Do you have a favorite locomotive from your S Scale fleet?

S is fun! Most of the equipment here belongs to a friend, but my best engine is probably the Lionel/Flyer Legacy SP U28C.

I’ll say it again. S Scale needs to become mainstream.

People need to buy what's out there first and foremost. Companies won't offer more if what's out doesn't get bites to justify bringing more to market.

@@SCL3618 Everything that’s out there is very old product or kinda meh. People would try more S Scale product if there was new, more “model” like and less “toy” product available.

@rodimussupreme2329 Not many are willing to take that gamble, spending over 50-70K to tool scale equipment for a potential handful of buyers just doesn't work. That's why everything gets marketed to the historically toy/hi-rail market, since that's the most common setup and will get return on investment.

@@SCL3618 Sounds like companies just want to keep it niche and never expand. Losing money.

@rodimussupreme2329 Far from it, but there has to be enough of a market to justify the cost of advancing further. Trains aren't cheap to get on the market, especially something that already has limited buyers.
