Fifteen minutes of pure bliss. Still the most beautiful chopper ever made. Performance pound for pound # 1. I have watched this video 20 times and still entranced by the pilots skills. On my bucket list to ride in the God given machine.
The Lama in my opinion is the best Helicopter ever made. It'l lift all day at any altitude and at any temp. No matter how Hot how High or Humid it is.... it kicks the Squirrels ass back to sea level I remember a pome I herd once. Lama Dear Lama, rugged and rare, built with conviction, a strong sturdy mare. Who can compare, with your Perspex and tin, for even you fly, while lacking a fin! Even the Dalai, who shares in your name, could never deny, supporting your gain. Your framework and wires, might others repel, but for me you shall always be my dear belle. Fly high lovely lama, breathing thin air, for there you belong, for those who shall dare.

I have flew several hours in a Lama , @1984 The pilot was a ex-Huey Vietnam pilot. Lama is an awesome machine indeed.
They should build these by the hundreds and continue old school. There is a difference between working helicopters and point A to point B Marginal loafs! The World has become loafy! The computer is the man flying. If you fly and work on this machine you will understand what a great machine this is and the French did there homework, it is a masterpiece!

Bernd van Dornick one of the best pilots who have ever flown in Switzerland and neighboring countries a top pilot a top person and friend. big respect.
The SA315 lama is an excellent machine even though it is aging. But this pilot is great... The machine is not much without the pilot !
Diese "alte Lady" ist einzigartig! Ich durfte die SA315B (HB-XRD) noch einmal im Tessin fliegen, bevor sie stillgelegt wurde. Ein unvergessliches Ereignis! Schöne Grüße

Je révisione cette vidéo avec un plaisir partagé par les fans du AS 315 B " Lama", j'ai participé dans le transport et l'heliportage de béton que se soit en France ou en Suisse, et je puis vous dire que cette bête de somme qu'est le "Lama" est unique dans sa catégorie, cerise sur le gâteau j'ai pu profiter de la part de certains pilotes, d'avoir eu quelques sensations vertigineuses et époustouflantes de dextérités lors de vols gracieusement offerts, dommage que cet appareil soit en fin de vie, mais gageons que beaucoup le fassent voler encore et encore pour le plaisir des yeux et sa typique musique de sa sœur Alouette 3 🤔

It was quite a few yars ago, back then i think it was still allowed to sling cargo with passengers on board.
